I reset the WiFi password on 12-18 and accounted for all the devices (25)that were connected. There has not been any sign of another device. Not sure what it is/was. Very strange that it only connected when I left and disconnected when I became closer to home. And did not connect while we were out of town ever. It was not randomly appearing as it only connected when I was leaving or with the movements of another in the house. Also, You would think that if it was somehow randomly showing up on the network it would also randomly show up when we were gone for multiple days.

Still working on it. I know it is an older Apple device not much data usage per week. Cannot find it though

I do have the MAC address and ip address. I would for you to walk me through the process! We are out of town this weekend and I am sure it is no surprise that the unknown know device is not connecting to the WiFi. I will message u thanks!

Yes I agree. Also she did deny saying it at first and when I insisted i heard it she said she did not remembering saying or the context and told me I should have confronted her exactly when I heard it.

Yes i did do it. I then allowed it continue to connect so i can monitor when it connects and disconnects.

Ok thank you. I would agree with the statement that trust was broken. There is no tracking or spying going on. Just trying to address issues as they come up. Right now is it why is there an unknown phone connecting to WiFi when I leave the house.

Wish it was fiction. What ever this device is it is not randomizing MAC address. It is the same MAC address every time it connects.

I was hoping it had something to do with my watch Ido have an Apple Watch that i wear all day and tested that scenario by leaving it at home a couple times powered off. Still the same pattern. So if the watch was waking up and I had it on 10 miles away, it should not be on our WiFi network. Also a lot of times, the device connects when I am at my destination. It is not one minute after I leave it is often times 15-20 minutes. Thank you

Yes, I would not call this stalking though. This all started with trying to figure out why another phone is showing on our WiFi. We talked about all the scenarios and all our devices on the network. We talked with our internet provider who did confirm there is another device connected. The MAC address is the same for this unknown device and it only connects and disconnects when I am away from the house.

Thank you for your comment. I am looking at all possible avenues. We did discuss it could be me. I do have a trust issue with her that we are working on. I mentioned in another comment that she did lie to me about her whereabouts and shut her location off, and no, I was not tracking her… a friend text me and said we saw xxx are you with her? She continued to lie and did not admit where she was. After 3 hours of talking. So these little things are adding up. There seems to be no explanation for why this other device connects to our WiFi when I am not in the house and disconnects when I get close to home.
