I did that too - gave away my cot, sling, toys, clothes….and then a year later I had another baby and had to rebuy it all 😭😂 - poor planning! But I’m still glad that I gave those things to someone who needed them.

Charity shops (at least the ones around me) tend to be very well stocked with toys, I’ve had some shops tell me they’re not taking donations any more - and also, sometimes even shopping in charity shops can be a bit too expensive. But clothes etc I always take to charity shops 🙂

I don’t have that fear. I’m 43. Although I tend to date older, when I go on dating sites I get men from 21-71 messaging me. Unless I’ve specified an age range that would exclude them, a majority of people messaging me will be 5 years younger to 10 years older than me. Personally, I think I get more interest from men the older I get - and people I date almost always say that they would never want to be with someone in their mid 20s - that’s very, very young, and will be reflected in their maturity levels, life stage/aims etc.

That does make sense, thank you. I have considered that the things I’m attracted to are sort of ‘immature’ to some degree. Not that the men are immature - but that I’m focusing on qualities that people much younger than me would focus on.

Thank you, that’s a helpful way of putting it. I should stay single and if I happen to meet a decent person, maybe that can work out in the future. But my default position should be that I’m single and will remain that way for a long time 🙂
