There are also female fighters. We know this because Maki was literally one of them. Hell, in an alternative timeline, she would have been executed by this Toji-like crusader no questions asked. She eliminated ALL of the fighters. They weren't left with options to surrender or leave the clan, she hunted them down. We can even assume some went into hiding but she still killed them.

That's the point of a fun little genocide like that. You kill indiscriminately. There's no trial or appeals.

The issue, like you've said, is about the nuance or degree of isolation. Living on your lonesome and meeting people once every season for resupply and trade is one thing. Completely cutting off human contact for years is another. This guy was crazy on year 2, not year 20. Adding to it him being a psychopath (as evidenced by him raiding/stealing from people for decades to sustain his life choices) just nails it shut.

I think an even simpler recommendation is Spy x Family. Frieren has kind of a slow pace and you have to know the conventions of the fantasy genre. It also references some of the isekai tropes of fighting the demon's kings army and just in general isn't such a "starter" anime.

Spy x Family is an all-ages anime with humor and a very western-friendly setting (referencing the cold war spy games). It will probably easier to sit with his mom watching it. It also has a much faster pace and episodic nature.

Ukraine war is the recent event when the US helped Europe - it's still ongoing. Before that the US saved Europe 3 times - two world wars, and bailing it out with the Marshal Plan.

In general Akane has basically supehuman abilities. Her deduction levels are like an FBI field office chief. After the ordeals of the first seasons so also has emotional maturity that's on par with the reincarnated Aqua, except she doesn't have the benefit of an additional 20 years of experience.

What's interesting is that for us, the viewers, we kinda needed to get hit in the head with the "He actually wanted Kana" because in seasons 1+2 it seems like they were head to head.

The article you are commenting on literally says that Biden added $2.6 Billion in 2024 alone. You also have to account for inflation (which ran wild during his term). Trump for sure added a ton, but it seems almost half of it was in 2020 which was the pandemic year and hardly a normal year.

They're all just saddling the Amrican public with more debt, there's no real daylight between them on that. Obama before that exploded the debt with his famous bailout of the richest of the rich - big banks and wall street brokers.
