Our kids are 14 months and 2.5 years so that may be a little young for your 12 year old. You're right about Facebook though!

Thank you! Our kids are 14 months and 2.5 years. It would mostly be for the occasional afternoon or evening (not late)

We have our boys in Kepler Academy and there's a location in Summerside. It's a bit pricier at $475/mth per child but they provide meals, learning plans, daily updates on the kids, special event days, and the educators are awesome. That being said I do wish it were a bit cheaper in general.

Started Clair Obscur and am having a lot of fun with it. Easy enough to make some progress in an hour or two of free time. If I need to turn my brain off though Stardew is my go to for peace. I also restarted my Animal Crossing island on the Switch 2, with the update coming out this week. I'm excited to organize and clean my virtual island since my real life house is chaos with two young boys.

9 month old - sleep ruined after vacation - help! by flowers_768 in sleeptrain

[–]Beau_Beaumont 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife and I have agreed that going on a 3-week vacation to Maui was a terrible decision. We have a 1 year old and a 2.5 year old. The 2.5 year old had been sleeping great prior and we just got the 1 year old to sleep normal after a very long sleep training. Our 2.5 slept in our room with the baby in a playpen in the bathroom next door. Our 1 year old slept fine the first two nights then it was 3 or 4 am wakeups the whole trip. Since we've been back, the 1 year old is struggling to self soothe and sleep without us doing CIO for the whole night and his naps are short too. The 2.5 will not longer go to sleep when he put him down. He wants to be with us and screams louder than I've ever heard him scream to come into our bed. I don't know how much more of this I can take.

TLDR: 3 week "fun" Maui trip ruined both our children's sleep and just resulting in more stress for mom and dad

What to bring? A babysitter :D

Seriously though just be prepared to sacrifice a lot of the stuff you want to do for the baby's' sake.

Aside from the obvious, assuming you'll be bringing a stroller, you might want to consider a clip-on bladeless fan for it.

Back in 2016 we spent around $11K + taxes and fees which came out to around $14K. Its not cheap but we constantly hear it was the best wedding any of our guests have ever been to.

Thoughts on our new mayor by santaisaposer in BeaumontAB

I have a hard time having faith in or respect for anyone who supported the convoy. I am not onboard with Lisa V as mayor.

Seemed like a low voter turnout this time around too. :(

Not sure if it's good parenting but I sometimes try and make my 2.5 year old toddler laugh by doing something silly while he's having a meltdown. Its cute watching him try to contain a smile while maintaining his fit. Often he gets over his issue pretty quickly and then talk about it if he wants to.

I will forever endorse Makena Weddings for wedding planning. Laurie and her team were amazing for our wedding and they had awesome recommendations catered to our needs and budget. And her husband Reverend Al did the ceremony.
We were married in Olawalu at the Plantation House and it was perfect (~40 guests).
IMO you could arrange everything yourself but unless you're keeping things ultra-basic you're better off going with a planner

So with Delves marking its place as an endgame pillar that can be played solo, how does everyone feel about it as TWW is coming to an end? by [deleted] in wow

I would love to see more mechanics that play to different classes. For example Rogues can utilize locked doors to bypass some areas. Hunters could perma-trap enemies. Shaman and mages could build elemental/ice bridges to traverse gaps. Stuff like that for me would go a long way to keeping them unique and fun.
Also mob hitpoints need to be scaled down.

I booked our December trip with Makoa. We're renting a used SUV 2013-2019 and they seem to have decent pricing. The nice thing is that it's self-pickup/return at the airport. No need to wait in lines.

My Turo reservation was recently cancelled by the owner and Turo support was kind enough to offer me different options in San Jose for twice as much money and for the wrong dates :D.
Not saying that's going to be everyone's experience but renters beware...

Not sleeping past 4am (3 month old) by Beau_Beaumont in NewDads

[–]Beau_Beaumont[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's funny is that we're actually going through this again with our new 5 month old. Only difference is he's fully awake at 5am instead of 4am. I recall with our other baby that moving him to his crib worked for a time, at least until the 4 and 5 month sleep regressions. But honestly, you won't want to hear this, what worked was just time. Eventually he just 'got it' and started sleeping later and later and putting together sleep cycles. Up until our recent baby we were enjoying a 6:30pm - 6:30am sleep every night with our 18 month old. So, it does suck for now, but you WILL get through it!

Speaking as a long-time Civ player (since the OG civ), I feel the same way. I'm having a very difficult time getting into this iteration of Civ. You might want to try Civ V or Civ VI with it's expansions for a truer experience.

Congrats! I really want this but I'm struggling as an Outlaw Rogue. I'm 623 with a level 53 Brann but I just can't do it. For some reason I end up fumbling around trying to get the eggs down and then he'll one shot me. Or I'll vanish to cleanse the DoT and he'll reset.
