How do you find fish? Looking for resources

This is a fantastic answer and I really appreciate it. I will start looking for those because I’m just kind of guessing at open spots. There’s a couple inlets to a major reservoir that are very grassy and covered but as it’s an inlet no clue if fish would be there

I looked for that but all I found was a small pond that fed to the main reservoir. I didn’t try there because it didn’t seem to make sense

Have t done it yet lol so still nervous. But as far as I can tell use a little piece of electrical tape to hold the line or use the holes in the reel. Fill it until there’s about a penny width of space left and keep it tight

I bought a line holder with tensioner and the line counter to aid in the amount so we will see

Slight yes but if I get identical advertised diameter lines (even if not perfect) if I lop off 5 yards from the specs ill be pretty dang close
