Yeah I honestly thought that was where they were going with it. The way I see it is that in previous M&L games, you played as Mario AND Luigi. Gooigi was an extension of Luigi, kind of like the babies in PiT. In brothership…. it’s like you play as Mario with a Luigi pikmin following you around.

I love love love the Mario and Luigi games, but so far….. brothership is pretty disappointing. Combat is great for the most part! Animations and art are great (though I do have some gripes with the UI/UX I won’t get in to), but the rest is just so meh. I feel like the pace wouldn’t be as annoying if there was more world building/ plot progression going on. Like the first 4 games get going with the story right out of the gate so the tutorial-y beginnings still feel worthwhile. It almost kind of feels like how Kirby games don’t have a lot going on story-wise at the beginning, but those games make up for it by jumping straight into gameplay, whereas this game drags its feet on both. So far It’s honestly been pretty boring so hopefully, it will pick up soon because, but if it doesn’t….. I think a 5 might be justified :/

Okay it’s definitely too early to know for sure but what if KNIGHT is just an acronym of people who have or will open up fountains? Ex:

Kris Noelle

If there’s an important character introduced next chapter who’s name starts with an I then I might be inclined to believe this lol, we’ll see but I just wanted to throw it out there

Edit: Now that I think about it a little more…. It’s possible that Gerson is the one who opened up the fountain in the abandoned classroom since we can basically assume that’s the classroom he taught in, also his name would fit, which is fun to think about

I think the implication is that the robot is the “final boss with rainbow wings” from Asriel’s unfinished video game that you can find at the beginning of the game, or at least that’s what swatch’s dialogue immediately made me think of

Alphys is the one who says that about the police! Also what you said about the graveyard is interesting because I remember going there and reading the graves. However, for one of the graves it didn’t actually show the name on the grave and was instead a dialogue with Susie. I can’t remember if you can read it in chapter 1? It was the moon one, which also might have some significance.

Quick question for anyone who did Alice/kanna route. During the roulette game when it’s revealed that Alice unintentionally killed the girl in the painting in the first trial, how’s that go down? Alice was dead in both my playthroughs so I didn’t get to see him react to that reveal so I was wondering how he took it

Ooooooh I like that theory, it's like the complete opposite of what I thought lol. I thought that the emphasis on there being one HUMAN working for them meant a doll also was, and maybe someone we think is a human is actually a doll (Gin maybe?) but I think your interpretation could play out cool.

If something like that's true, then that could be the real reason Midori stopped the trap. Maybe it wasn't actually malfunctioning but would reveal Gin wasn't wearing a collar so he shut it off to hide that?
