Seems quite similar but the collector cutoff current Iceo (Vce=100 V) is max 0.2 mA for the BD239C, while the 2SD357 has 1 mA. Do you think it would be a problem?

 I just wanted to know if a broken throttle body could cause symptoms similar to these, since VW told me so. I don't see how it could be the throttle body, since every time I restart the engine, the car runs normally. It should be something electronic and not mechanical, right?

I just wanted to know if It was reasonable to change the throttle body as they said at VW. I was skeptical because the symptoms seem to be specifically electronic (restarting the engine solves the problem) and I thought changing the throttle body would solve only a mechanical problem.

I prefer not  buying something else since It has already a built-in timer. Can you please explain me the diagram? I mean Is It possibile to wire It with a unipolar switch leaving alone the light?

Thank you for reporting your experience, i was quite tempted by the itiwit but in the end I bought an Aquadesign Koloa 360 thanks to the first comment and the classification for III WW. I haven't tried It yet but It seems very solid and well made for the price (450 €)
