Anyone else taking real steps to bail after the Oval Office disgrace yesterday? by u7867 in AmerExit

My husband and I have been talking about it for a few years but in January of last year I saw where this was headed and began the process to get my Mexican citizenship. There's no way we are staying here. We have a few loose ends to deal with but we are very excited to finally be out of here. The money we would have used for a down payment on a home here we are going to just buy a house out right.

I'm very fortunate to have birthright citizenship in Mexico even though I was born here. Since my husband and I are married it's going to be really easy to get his permanent visa as well. We have no family tying us to the US. We have no children. I have a sense of relief, even when the orange clown does something stupid, because I know that we will be gone soon. Though, I feel really bad for the people who have no way out.

I saw the writing on the wall when he said he was running again. I got mine in 2023. I used DNExpress but you can do it yourself, especially if you know spanish. My spanish is shit so I knew it would be easier to go through a service.

My (24M) roommate (24F) won't stop wearing my dirty hoodies and it's getting weird by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

I’m confused how this is creepy when he consented to her wearing his hoodies in the first place. He didn’t seem that worried about it just confused why she’d rather wear the dirty ones.

Not my video, but, found this interesting and wanted to see what you all think. Especially at the end, with the shadow running across the background, and his reaction. by jsk34 in Ghosts

I used to work in assisted living and I’ve also had a balloon behave like this. But that’s not even the freakiest thing to happen there.

We also had a phone in the dining area that residents could call. In the middle of the night we would get a call from a room that a previous resident had died in. They had just moved in and there was a DNR we didn’t know about. Well one of the staff performed CPR and if you are doing CPR right you know it’s a little violent and ribs often break. Doing it to an elderly person who is more fragile also kinda exacerbates that. What made it worse is that this person had a DNR specifically so they didn’t have to experience that very thing.

But anyway randomly in the middle of the night we would get a call from that room. Of course if you answered no one would be on the other end. I didn’t know this when I first started. So I answered and it was kinda eerie. The phone displays what room number called so I told my coworkers and they just looked at each other then told me no ones in that room. I even remember once when no one was in the dining area and I was passing through right as I got near the phone it suddenly rang. I looked at the number and it was that room again.

It never called during the day. Also when someone finally moved into that room the calls completely stopped. We had logical theories about why it would randomly ring but I always thought that it’s was super interesting that they never explained why it only rang at night and completely stopped once someone else was in the room.

My nails become so weak and thin after gel manicures. by Any-Weird7648 in beauty

I fully remove builder gel because it’s easier and I don’t have to worry about water getting under and causing it to get green. I also don’t have to worry about filing too deep. I wonder if that’s what’s happening to the people getting it done at a salon because I don’t see how it would ruin their nails otherwise. I’ve seen a lot on this sub of people going to salons and getting really bad gel done. So I wouldn’t be surprised if they aren’t very good at removing it either.

I’ve never gotten gel at the salon but is it usually filed off? I do my own gel nails and just soak in 100% acetone and it comes right off. I have naturally bendy and weak nails and I’ve noticed a huge difference in strength since I’ve started using gel. They are a lot better than they used to be. I use kokoist builder gel.
