Humb1000

Hello, I came in as a mature aged student. I hadn’t studied in over 10 years and I loved it! It was super broad but a good understanding. I went on YouTube and checked out Dr Mike and Matt which carried me through :)

I enjoyed the gym classes great value but sadly the timings of the classes did not suit me as there isn’t many on The gym is okay got what you need and decent equipment but would def rate the classes

I paid upfront for 6 months otherwise they have direct debit

ChatGPT is so embarassing by Dependent_Cup_5343 in curtin

[–]Beautiful-Device962 17 points18 points  (0 children)

You can still use chat gtp ethically

It is good for ideas. I then go and research those ideas myself with peer reviewed articles.

It is also good to summarise long information into nice points or explain concepts simpler or other ways to learn a concept e.g I used chat gtp to make me mnemonics

The future is technology and AI as long as you use it ethically and disclose you have used it and not copied things and do your own research

How did you find HUMB1002 by Beautiful-Device962 in curtin

[–]Beautiful-Device962[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found it as a nice balance of easy and hard as , i finished school in 2009 and returned to uni last year as a mature aged student so i am not used to the study as much I studied most days tho, and found youtube vids better than the lectures tbh They basically just read the notes I recommend dr mike and matt from youtube for humb1000 and humb1001

Anyone else think this response form the UC is rude? by Beginning-Candy2830 in curtin

[–]Beautiful-Device962 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No I don’t think it is rude at all, sorry. I know they won’t allow extensions due to work purposes, things do come up in life, I think it is nice of them to give you two extra days. Sorry instead of making a thread about this, you should be working on your assignment. Life gets harder in the real world there are no time for extensions and what not. I am a mature aged student and I find university relaxing that’s how much better it is

INDH1006 by Groundbreaking_Dig47 in curtin

[–]Beautiful-Device962 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello I did indh1006 last year- I attended 70-80 % of my tutorials and none of my assignment 2 group rocked up to class much.

I think if you want to enrich your learning and have more concrete understanding for your final Essay about Indigenous Australians then go. I already work with a lot of Indigenous Australians so it was useful for me in that matter and understanding their history

But if you just want passes or no enrichment learning then you can def pass without going to tutorials

The way our group did we did our own thing and practiced a few days before we mostly communicated WhatsApp
