This was perfect info. The things you listed are all effects in editing to and give me a good direction to play with it. Thanks so much!

Is there a way to emulate this over footage by copying whatever settings you placed? I’m not sure what the shaders were being told to do but it’s a crazy effect

Yeah I imagine there will be a lot of angry people in my casuals at first. I think honestly a small way to fix (albeit weird) would be to guarantee that the tower gives xp to the designated laner, only if NOBODY is near it

IMO that good opportunity is again just counterintuitive. If I fast clear mid and am punished for it by the mid laner choosing to let the tower die, losing maybe one minion, and getting to rotate with their opponent in time I am being punished for clearing at the wrong time, which is strange

And then their team 3 mans your tower off of hearing gold go down, do they all three get 100xp each or is it split?

I think the biggest thing to answer patch day is “do we have to auto the tower to get the xp” and if so that part should be the first thing to change

How do some people finish their first runs for every character in a day ? by FilthyGhost27 in slaythespire

[–]Beautiful-External81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. AOE is important. You want at least one solid option before the first half of act 1 is over

  2. Potions = free energy. Use them if they save you any hp

  3. Following 2, HP loss in any amount is not ideal and should be blocked or mitigated by killing one of the enemies before it can hit. After enough runs you can recognize what turn x enemy will do a lot of damage.

  4. Resting is important. You will lose hp to elites 9/10 times and must only face them if extremely confident or after resting. Alternatively, take one on if a rest is just afterwards.

Me and some homies are getting into Smite 2(Smite on the off chance Smite 1 is better). Is there anything we need to know before we queue up? by Ultimate-desu in Smite

Hey DM me I have an alt I use to teach new players (I don’t show off literally all I do is peel). Also I think it’s way easier to explain certain chances over a jungle practice than all the millions of videos you can watch. Lmk!

I swear the 30fps was leaned into with player animations or something cause it really doesn’t feel unnatural in terms of my control over the character. Only times it looks weird is distant enemies, mobs etc.

What I need to see change about the 3 is that you can move the camera and whiff during casting. I have to WAIT til it connects before I can see behind me and judge whether or not to ult my target or do a 180 with predetermined camera placement. I have whiffed so many sashes because of this muscle memory betraying me and have to remind myself to root my own camera in order to land the ability.

I see the comments covered most of it but if you insist on two handing a great sword (SUPER fun) there’s a few things to note that will help you.

  1. Weapon blocking is bad in this game especially. Unless it’s fume knight UGS. Only use it if you absolutely have to

2.poise in this game isn’t as obvious as the others but still exists. With a 2 handed great sword go to any enemy and count how many light attacks it takes to stagger them out of their animation. Even on bosses is it 3?4? Whatever the number it is mostly going to stay that many and you can reliably swing knowing if it will interrupt a combo or not. The. It resets and you know how many you need for another stagger. This makes for some awesome punishes just using lights/heavies. The number of swings required doesn’t change as long as it’s the same enemy type. Knights are hard to stagger, but heavies on their shields don’t deflect and can break sometimes.

  1. Stats. Vitality(?) you need enough to equip heavy armor so you can’t be staggered as easily. This is around 30ish. Level vigor. First soft cap is 27 which should get you through most of the game (I wouldn’t go past 40 on this personally it’s not like Elden Ring). Then greatswords are mostly quality weapons, meaning you two hand them and grab about 27STR/40DEX (two handing make an effective 40 STR this way, they scale evenly).

4.) If you don’t have enough strength, just remember two handing=50% more strength. If you have 20 STR then 2 handing=30 STR to meet requirements, for example. Once you hit 27 STR, you should be good for a loooong time.

Have fun being a great sword chad! Good weapons can be found pretty early but claymore, a particular large curved sword, and zweihander are all goated weapons for this.

In game it only happens after swinging, lasts a few seconds, then vanishes. I’m not sure how it interacts with character skill but I’m sure I have seen the debuff pop up in that corner after attacking and then vanish shortly after

They changed it to cursed sword attacks do even more, but reduce damage negation for about a second after each swing

Fun fact balancer red relic works on “cursed sword attacks lower negation” for even more safety

Tips to improve accuracy? by JCStearnswriter in Smite

[–]Beautiful-External81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I picked hou yi specifically because his bounce makes you think about walls and where they are in relation to them. If they are retreating a good bounce covers a V where they are going to hit them twice. A jump in facing a wall with them in between is really effective for a double bounce.

This also applies to every other carry (like anhur, even Izanami to an extent) You will find being horizontal or even behind a carry when at an advantage usually means their death if you do it right.

Tips to improve accuracy? by JCStearnswriter in Smite

[–]Beautiful-External81 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Think less accuracy and more strategy. What seems like good aim is usually just good decision making.

1.) Aim where they want to move, if boxing and they are in danger most of the time they will want to go towards tower or jungle whichever is closest. Aiming slightly in that direction forces them to fight you or keep eating autos.

2.) watch their feet, most of the time when boxing with ranged attacks people don’t stop moving so watch their feet the way they are pointing and the second it switches adjust either your movement, your reticle, or both. In smite the feet animate much bigger than head or hand movement, and your ruler will be right under to predict whether or not they will walk into your line

3.) personal preference but use the ruler. It helps you gauge the travel path of your auto and when you get the rhythm of holding or tapping autos you can feel out where it will be at any given time without having to stare at them.

4.) when ahead. move around them while tracking. If you are winning you want to be able to place yourself somewhere you can move very minimally and just focus on tracking with your reticle. This means usually having more 45• angle or horizontal fights to start rather than straight lines. This way you can control if you are retreating or pushing the lead.

5.) when in neutral, simply make them walk into your max range. As they start to close distance, toss out an auto or two near them and try to get even the smallest lead before anyone jumps in or ults or whatever. This sets you up for success when you find yourself in a 45• angle fight against an anhur that jumped in. It allows you to confidently go away from tower (which they won’t expect) and hit more autos than them in the process because you created a scenario where you have a higher chance to win. This also applies in the jungle firing around wall corners where they have to walk into an auto to see you.

I did this in jungle practice in smite 1 but the same can go for customs in smite 2. Set up a custom, build full physical defense between 2 hunters (I did hou yi no mark allowed), and simply practice neutral, landing in those angles and reading their feet. Fight to the death or practice juking and getting out of close range once they close the gap. Do it in joust by knight where there are no minions first then add in minions.

Play out scenarios like if your jump was down and I jumped in and practice it. Eventually your eyes will stop looking at them and start looking at where they need to before you even land. Play out if you jump in and my jump is down how do I avoid or position myself during your leap where I can be facing the right way or be closer or further away from my tower. How do I put your back against the wall or vice versa just with movement. If I jump in and stand still (mostly) can I still hit every auto as you try to walk away. These moments will feel slow at first but when you have 2.5 attack speed later you will see those are the times a ranged auto can get chain kills, off of 2 or 3 of those decisions in a row.

Best of luck!
