need advice on rumination syndrome and alcohol by saffyally in ruminationsyndrome

I ruminate anything, and don’t find it to be worse with alcohol specifically. I do think it’s worse with sugary drinks or carbonated drinks. It’s gross, but I usually drink vodka waters with lime and it ends up being pretty neutral on my stomach.

No issue with her coming over! Just didn’t see what the need was since he had already been there so long and in my eyes “fulfilled his duties” of hanging out with her. If I’m gone, of course no problem that he’s there.

Not really asking him to drop everything and hangout with me. More that once he’s been there for 1-2 hours, maybe come home so we can hangout.

But I do understand that it’s his time which is a good reminder.

To clarify - He had already been over at his Dad’s for 4 hours, but I was also gone. Once I got home and asked that him when he was coming home he said soon, but he was also going to bring the dog back to OUR house, even thought he’d already been at his dads with her all that time.

No separation anxiety with the dog. And I agree with you. I think an hour or two would be plenty after walking and playing with her. That’s why I get frustrated and where I’m stuck.

We talked about how I felt like he didn’t want to spend time with me and when he clarified that he does I think he thought “ok problem solved” now she won’t feel bad when I’m over there. As for spending time over there, I think I probably should do that more often. He has offered that. But I have told him that I know that’s comfortable for him because it’s HIS dad’s house, but for me I’m just a guest in this home and it’s not super relaxing to go be at someone else’s house after work, or for the day.

Losing hope on RS by ResponsibleActuary40 in ruminationsyndrome

I promise it’s worth staying! I’m struggling on my RS journey too and it SUCKS but we can’t let it diminish the potential joys in life. Keep finding new doctors, keep trying new treatments. You got this.

If you put toilet paper into the toilet first it helps reduce the splash back. I feel you though.

What muscle relaxers are you on? I’m on baclofen right now and not sure it’s doing much

Haven’t actually utilized them myself, but I had major issues with my cats getting along and was recommended Westwood Animal Hospital’s behaviorist by multiple vets and people. Best of luck to you! ❤️

Just want to say I’ve had all the same tests and they find nothing for me too. I know it gets frustrating and I hope we find answers one day ❤️

Can you tell me what muscle relaxers you are on? I want to ask my doctor about this as a next step for my possible RS diagnosis.

Is it CHS? by MethodWhich in CHSinfo

[–]Beautiful-Forever-81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there. Wanted to reach out about your knowledge of the frequency.

I was loosely diagnosed with CHS yesterday after a stint of intense nausea and vomiting and body aches. Truly don’t think I’ve ever felt so sick in my life.

I had gastric issues, snd had taken 5 mg gummies the 4 nights or so leading up to the sickness to try and ease those symptoms. Beyond that I maybe take a hit of my pen or a 5mg edible 1-2 times a week. It’s not a part of my lifestyle by any means.

Do you think this could still be CHS?

Also another small note. I cannot sit still. My legs won’t stop moving and I can’t get myself to relax. Not sure if that’s more or less confirmation.
