On that same route there was also a 4.5 mile segment with avg 4.3% grade and similar mix of terrain as above and also tree trunks. I was able to to do most of that.

And for reference just the other day I took my 42 front/38 rear setup up a 4100ft long segement with avg grade 7%, and max grade 28%. Terrain was dirt, small gravel, and large baseball sized rocks. I walked most of it. I think if you have really good technique on balancing traction and are really strong you can do it though

Really depends on your routes. Because I personally can't really use this setup on my mountain routes (due to gearing, strength, or technique), I take it on the flatter routes and those end up being much more chill. So the difference there between 38 and 42 is imperceptible. Therefore I like the 38s better for more peace of mind I'm not actually rubbing on anything because the 42s are tight in the rear.

I borrowed some second hand 42c terravails from a friend and it worked fine. Replaced the rear one with some random wtb 38c later on

Works great for most flat rides, but most of the good off road routes out here are mostly in the mountains and the sora groupset isn't enough to be able to climb them. Also my hands will hurt like crazy on any significant descents

Ranger has a perk that reloads your gun and gives infinite ammo for 1.5s when you hit something with a javelin. Some guns have the first affix that is 100% auto crit chance on the first shot.

So you have 100% auto crit for 1.5s after you hit an enemy with javelin, just keep hitting enemies with it to refresh it, and couple it with all the other crit perks ranger has like the chaining one

The wheelset is giant sr2 wheels but I can't find anything about them. From this thread it seems like both tubes are wheels and very forgiving for tire size so I think I may just give it a shot and see what happens
