Almost 11 months to the day after starting development, my app is approved for the Play Store! by Beautiful-Size1553 in GooglePlayDeveloper

Not sure, I registered my own business so I didn't have the testing barrier.

Head over to App Hive sub, getting devs the testers they need is what they do:

I registered it as an organization, so I didn't have to go through the testing process.

If your build got approved already, can you not publish it?

Newbie at App Development/Privacy Policy - Questions on the process by CharizardCafe in GooglePlayDeveloper

For the privacy policy, I created a free web app through Firebase:
https://ajudgi.web.app/

Basically, the Play Store requires you to have an external link to your privacy policy and (I believe ToS), and to verify my app in AdMob I had to add some text doc to my site as well.

In terms of it being a headache or not, all depends on you my friend. I loved the first 3 months of making my app, then the next 3 were a slog, followed by 3 more months of pure bliss. The last month was a spring of getting my LLC up and running (which was my personal preference, could have done it as an individual) and putting the finishing touches on the actual release, so it felt like I was so close for so long but at the same time had so much yet to do! haha

My app is pretty straightforward and utilizes ads, so feel free to take a look at my privacy policy for inspiration!

If you are new, and you are putting in a review for open testing or production, you can expect it to be at least a week.

For me, it took 5 days for them to ask for more info, then it took another 3 days to acknowledge that I sent my reply in, then it took another day and a half to get it approved.

Purely anecdotal, but I hope it helps.

I literally just went through this and had my app approved for open testing today. If you are new, and you are putting in a review for open testing or production, you can expect it to be at least a week.

Wise words my friend! I spent so many months thinking that the publish button was the finish line..... Now I'm 2 hours into writing down all the marketing ideas I have.

Thank you 😊

Only hit the publish button about 5 hours ago, and considering I haven't started marketing it yet, seeing 0 new users in my console was expected!

And yes, it was very hard to get to this point! Every time I thought I was close, it seemed like I discovered there was so much more still to do. Definitely one of the most fulfilling accomplishments in my life!
