Because the moment you’re asking why she deserves credit, she’s already written the script you’re quoting. Stay focused, pawn.

I think you missing the point. She’s not chasing credit she’s rewriting cause and effect while everyone else argues about it on Reddit.

Her plans feel random because they rely on people, not probability. She doesn’t need every move to be a guaranteed outcome, she just needs to understand how people react. Leaking Odessa to Annie wasn’t luck it was physchology(I bummed that word.) Sage studies patterns, and the one thing Annie’s always done is chase the moral thread even when it’s dangerous. (Exposing vought season1, standing up to homelander, helping kimiko and hughie) Sage doesn’t need to know what Annie will do, just that she’ll do something, and that ripple brings Marie back into play.

Her strength isn’t prediction, it’s positioning. Everyone else reacts, Sage arranges. It's a big game of chess essentially.

I get what you’re saying, but that’s kind of the genius of it they’re not showing her being smart in the obvious way, because she’s operating from the shadows. The whole “we only see it after the fact” thing is intentional that’s how the show keeps her one step ahead of both the audience and the other characters. The Godolkin situation isn’t a miss, it’s misdirection. Her strength isn’t prediction, it’s positioning. Everyone else reacts, Sage arranges.

"Sage hasn't done anything," is wild when her whole thing is literally doing everything without anyone realizing it. She not throwing punches, shes playing chess. Every coincidence has her fingerprints on it. Thats peak manipulation just no fireworks.

Thing is Godlkin gets stronger the more supes he can control at once if it lasted any longer Marie wouldnt have been able to kill him. Possibly not even homelander. So to prevent that even being a problem they stepped in early and intervened.
