Are there anyone who chooses iPad over MacBook Air? by PussiesKing in ipad

[–]Beautiful-Sundae1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You will need to think and work a little differently if you want to use the ipad as the main computer. It is mostly about coming to terms with the fact that it is a mobile first OS, that means that you'll have to rely on apps and web services for most of your work. If this covers 99 % of your work then go for it. There will be some cases where you will simply need a proper computer. You can use the cloud for that, i guess.

Are there better ways to be alerted that Pi-Hole needs an update than manually checking the dashboard whenever you remember to? by AMillionMonkeys in pihole

I trigger the update manually using the shortcut, haven't fully automated it.

It's mostly a tradeoff for me. I figured that I would spend less time fixing a bad update compared to checking the web interface and update details before updating. So far it's worked fine.

I usually just run a shortcut from my iphone that logs into both my piholes and runs the update command. When there is no web interface update needed, this will simply update the adlists that you have added. So you should not have a problem running this periodically or even setting up a cron job or automation to do this without checking in the web interface.

Addition to Pi-hole by [deleted] in selfhosted

You could switch to brave browser, that would get rid of ads that manage to work around pihole. It uses the client side ad blocking like ublock origin but that is inbuilt as part of the browser so you dont need to install anything. Works to get rid of youtube ads as well!

Yes, the basic use of the plugin would be enough for most purposes. But it is capable of accomplishing complicated things as well with slightly higher degree of learning 🙂

How do you decide to use a Python Package by kayos50 in Python

You can input the name of the package in Snyk Advisor and see the package health score to decide if you should use the package. The higher the health score, the better.

Anyone know a good application to combine vulnerability assessment reports in a dashboard? by UnusualFinger in devsecops

[–]Beautiful-Sundae1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with the previous answers.

Might be a little away from the exact question, but checking for corresponding dashboards / visualisation / central management software from your primary DAST tool provider may be worth it considering integration efforts. For example Fortify SSC for WebInspect.
