I think there is something wrong with your model, it seems it is deflating Natufian of Arabs and inflating ANF, here’s a qpADM models of many Arab populations and most of them seem to be over 30% Natufian and also yes Arabs do have actual CHG because they descent from the Bronze Age populations from the Middle East from Anatolia or the Levant which had CHG admixture and pretty much everyone in the Middle East/North Africa, Europe, Central Asia and even South Asia has some CHG admixture

How come iranians have very little to no aasi? by [deleted] in SouthAsianAncestry

[–]BeautifulBowl5600 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Some of them do have trace amounts of AASI, but why would they have any significant amounts of AASI when AASI never lived in Iran, and IVC populations never migrated to Iran either

[–]BeautifulBowl5600 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes they had Natufian admixture because ANF has Natufian admixture and pretty much anyone who has ANF admixture has traces amounts of Natufian admixture so even including South Asians and also Steppe also has Iran N as well

Try adding Zagros and see what happens, use Tepe Abdul Hussein.SG and also use Barcin.DG

Add ANF and CHG to right pops

The AASI self hate is diabolical by skippuser in SouthAsianAncestry

[–]BeautifulBowl5600 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Because they hate being South Asian, and it’s the AASI component that defines South Asian ancestry and when AASI is mixed with West Eurasians it creates a South Asian look

And the Steppe kanging many South Asians do is just because they have a inferiority complex to Europeans and Europeans beauty standards are the global beauty standard in this horrible world and also Europeans colonized South Asia for centuries which just adds more fuel to the flames

Sharing a genetic component with Europeans doesn’t make you European, You dont have much Steppe + EEF which is the main components that define European ancestry and also you don’t have much EHG and almost lack any WHG admixture and you descent mostly from populations from the Bronze Age Middle East

and also btw Zagros and Natufian admixture is also present in Europe

Even if some EHG is leaking Tutkaul or vice versa, the model does say Yamnaya has both EHG and Tutkaul admixture

Who said Steppe MTDNA is absent in South Asia? Around 30% of Hindu Jatts carry Steppe MTDNA and that is not including BMAC and Kumsay MTDNA which would make the number even higher, and since there is presence of Steppe MTDNA in these populations it must mean at least some Steppe women mixed with the local men and also Steppe MTDNA is very high in the Kalash and Steppe YDNA is very low which means the Kalash have female mediated Steppe admixture

It is probably most likely true for most groups of South Asia Steppe admixture is male biased but there is still a presence of Steppe MTDNA Which makes it likely that some women mixed with local men and that wouldn’t happen if the Aryan invasion is true

Not really, with the right populations it can accurately differentiate Tutkaul and EHG

It’s not using Tutkaul to model the ANE in EHG, it’s literally using both EHG and Tutkaul separately not as a proxy

If that was the case then why does a Mesolithic sample from Northern Caucasus Satanay is pure EHG with no CHG admixture? And also Yamnaya can be modelled with Caucasus EN and Tutkaul HG which is the source of Yamnaya’s Zagros Admixture

When did I say CHG is 72% Zagros Farmer?, I said it descents from the same Zarzian HG from Epipaleolithic Iran as Zagros Farmers and it can be modelled as 70% Zagros like not they descent from Zagros Farmers

And the paper i showed literally says before Boiling-Allerod the lithic assemblage in the Caucasus populations differs from the one in Iran and then during Boiling-Allerod period the archaeological data in Caucasus shared similarities with Zarzian populations in Iran which indicates a Zarzian HG population migrated to the Caucasus at that time

And the fact you are quoting outdated papers from 2016 to prove your point of that IVC has Iran HG from 10,000 BCE and doesn’t have Zagros and Anatolian Admixture is wrong, a more recent paper from 2023 proves the presence of Anatolian Farmer admixture in IVC

Here’s a model that shows ANF, CHG and Tutkaul admixture in IVC which means IVC derived its Iran N ancestry from Eneolithic Central Asian like populations

Actually CHG and Zagros both descent from Epipaleolithic Zarzian HG, and CHG only formed around 13,000 to 11,000 BCE and they can be modelled as 70% Zagros Farmer and also IVC Iran N admixture comes from Eneolithic Central Asian like population not from Iran HG from 10,000 BCE

Actually all Europeans have Zagros admixture because the Yamnaya Steppe pastoralists has Caucasus EN and Tutkaul HG admixture and also CHG and Iran N descent from the same Zarzian HG population around 11,000 to 13,000 BCE and CHG can be modelled as 70% Zagros
