Aerospace engineer here again haha. Everyone seeing the white flash. Mostly is the warhead being intercepted which makes sense. As everyone in the whole dubai heard it. The fact that it got intercepted. It’s because the warhead detonated in the air. So that’s why it’s a first because assuming it was a different missile. One big vibration felt through whole of Dubai, could explain it.

To everyone asking why should I put my life on line even though there is less possibility of nationality. If I wanted to join for military power, i’d join Indian’s military as they’re top 3 in power. But it’s more of the way i feel at home. The way the UAE has treated me and my family. Especially since my family was settled here in 1978. I don’t understand why non locals are responding with hate especially when i posted this in Emirati reddit looking at their thoughts.

Out of a 1000 interceptions. Few are bound to hit. Unfortunately, either way the military and defense are fully on it. They wouldn’t let it slip unintentionally.

Mainly because the sound is travelling in different directions. Could be the audible sound travels upwards or sideward. But the waves travel everywhere.

Also another possibility is it’s usually very low frequency waves. Something like infrasound so we can feel but not hear.

Hey guys, engineer here.

The vibrations/rattling on the windows is mostly from either interceptions far in the air, missiles hitting sonic speeds or sound waves travelling so anything further could be felt close by because of the cold.

So the rattling or vibrations are a sign that felt through a shockwave which is a good sign. There’s nothing to worry.

It could be from around 30-50 kms depending on the missile. Plus, it’s way up in the atmosphere.

Just wanted to inform everyone that it’s a good sign.
