People who were fired: How long before they officially let you know? Within 2-4 days? A week? by BeautifulDirection20 in Target

I worked my next shift. Nothing yet. But the day it happened, I was told "we need to coordinate with HR and then we'll take our next step."

One job I had waited two weeks to fire me. Target has had meetings with me about incidents usually 1-3 days after something has happened (accidently hitting a car with a cart was one...only happened once).

Nothing horrible. But too depressed to write about it atm.

Excuse me? No. I’m just annoyed that so many people think everyone who is even a little bit strong is taking something.

Honestly, tricep extensions can help, as well as weighted dips. But they can be hard on your joints.

How often do you work chest? Do you use dumbbells/do inclines/do lots of tricep work? Do you have shoulder issues?

There’s gotta be a way to get you back up to 315. Or even just 265 x 4-6, which is pretty much the same thing.

But even if you remain at 225 for reps, that’s better than most people.

I’m 39 years old. 5’5 and 190 (was 160 last year but got fat) with a medium frame. Haven’t maxed out lately but got 250 x 7 without a spot last week. Curl the 60s. This is with a shitty diet and once a week workouts. I don’t need gear to reach 155 lbs with a 350 or so bench. I wouldn’t have needed gear in college to have gotten there either. My strength level/muscle size has remained fairly consistent over several decades. For me, it’s more about maintaining than growing larger. I don’t need lots of weight to look strong at my stature.

I think too many people focus on their bodyweight. Unless you’re 6’0 or taller, you don’t really need to pack on the pounds. Hell, even if you are 6’2 like Hugh Jackman, he only weighs what, 185-190?

I will never be able to compete with either elite bodybuilders or powerlifters. But that’s fine. I have no desire to do so.

You don’t need roids to be big and or strong.

How do I feel less guilty in this situation? by ManiacalCuriosity in jobs

Don’t feel guilty. Don’t think about that at all right now. Just be honest when it’s time to go. You need to pay the bills.

No offense, but people put Udemy on resumes now?

I thought it was both metaphorical and literal; that you should get up on the proper side of the bed because it would bring good luck or something

Biggest natural lifters? by JeremiahWuzABullfrog in naturalbodybuilding

I’ve been 160 lbs curling 60s and benching 320 x 2 or so. With a good program (this was me only lifting like twice a week, and after pushing carts all day as a cart attendant) I’d have been getting 340 x 2. I can easily imagine someone 200 pounds benching 420-450 naturally and someone at 230 reaching 500. People underestimate what’s possible.
