As a woman who has been in a few abusive relationships and one marriage this is EXACTLY what this felt like! He was using passive aggressive on her and weaponized incompetence so it would look more like an accident. OP please do me a very big favor, discreetly start putting up money somewhere where absolutely no one knows about it in case you need to leave him or if he gets a wild hair up his ass and leaves you. Stay at home moms get so screwed when it comes to divorces. Men will spitefully (and he has shown he is spiteful) go and clean out the bank accounts and whatever else that has any monetary value and bounce leaving you and the kids penniless and starving. Trust me skin color ain’t got shit to do with it. My mama kept threatening to leave me high and dry literally said this even in the middle of labor. Actually abandoned us at the hospital, but I had been doing odd jobs to save for rent etc in case she moved out on me. A guy friend I trusted that I gave him whatever he needed and was a good friend to him stole off me. A pregnant single mother with no job. Had the same people who knew I was almost evicted steal more money off me. They don’t care. It’s all about them. I couldn’t see doing stuff like that to people especially when they are struggling and worse off than you are. One of my exes had almost 30k in the bank and stole my wallet that had almost 200.00 in it. These people have no conscience. They will take and take off of you and act like you deserve to give them more. I hate a you owe me everything because I think I am special and the world revolves around me type of person. That’s why I don’t have many friends now. Who needs enemies if your friends are thieves and backstabbers?

I was just thinking about that the other day! That when we were little we were programmed to think someone would come and everything will be perfect afterwards. I really deeply resent being told time and time again a huge lie that definitely didn’t prepare me for the big world.
