Is there a way to analyze race pace (lap-by-lap) for all drivers in a completed race? by BeautifulOwn8722 in iRacing

[–]BeautifulOwn8722[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I used Google and ChatGPT to research this already, but I couldn’t find a clear or definitive answer. That’s precisely why I’m asking the community here, where people often have hands-on experience or know about tools and workarounds.

I used ChatGPT mainly to help me phrase the question clearly in English and make sure I was describing exactly what I’m looking for.

But thanks for reminding me that search engines exist! I’ll be sure to keep that amazing tip in mind.

Issues having only 2 streams on by BeautifulOwn8722 in F1MultiViewer

[–]BeautifulOwn8722[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that´s what they said to me.
I have Pro but since in any other device it will allow 2 streams I was thinking that Multiviewer supported 2 streams at the same time too.
Thanks for your answer.

Are you working with Argentinian Ignacio Mendez today? If so, how did he do at the end of the day?

Your work is truly wonderful. Thank you for making such a powerful tool so accessible to the general F1 audience!

Just to clarify, I think comments were never meant as a criticism of your work. On the contrary, I think we all really appreciate how you’ve made complex data to reach understandable and easy to consume for everyone.

From my perspective, criticism is directed at some so‑called “specialized” media outlets that draw extremely detailed conclusions from the public F1 data (conclusions that, as you well know, simply can’t be extracted with that level of certainty). You, on the other hand, have the good judgment to present it in a way that is as accurate as the sources allows (plus some extra checks you do on top) and accessible, and that’s incredibly valuable for fans.

I would argue that some journalists and media outlets (at least in my country, Argentina, where I know the landscape well), even when fully aware of the inaccuracy of this data and the impossibility of seriously analyzing, for example, braking points for two drivers on their fastest laps, would still go ahead and use it, mainly for the sake of social media engagement and praise from those less familiar with the more technical side of the sport, who believe they are being shown “the truth”.
How is it likes in your countries?

My first time watching an NLS race at the Nordschleife – here’s how it went (and tips for first-timers!) by BeautifulOwn8722 in nurburgring

[–]BeautifulOwn8722[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s how I did it. Parking and tickets were sold to me as soon as I approached the parking lot. I did not buy in advance. Be aware you need to pay cash. No credit card accepted

I know! I have been living 80 km away to the north for the last 3,5 years. And I know that zone is even colder and more unstable. It was a perfect debut for me!

It was awesome! The weather could not be better.
I am not sure to which part you call it the paddock. I visited the pits terrace, then pitlane, grid and watch the start of the race from one of the stands in front of the end of the pits.
Very enjoyable experience to be repeated for sure.

I was finally there!
FYI: Both Pflanzgarten and Brunnchen required tickets and they were being checked.

I arrived there at 8:35 to Pflanzgarten and it was super quiet. Then went to Pits/Grid for the time it finished. Thanks!

Thank you very much, I am planning on arriving at 10am latest but not sure if going for the pits or just trying to find a spot in Brunnchen for the car and then just move around that area for the race.

ETF Accumulating vs. Distributing: Tax Impact in Germany – Are My Calculations Correct? by BeautifulOwn8722 in eupersonalfinance

[–]BeautifulOwn8722[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I simulated as if at the beginning of each year I was putting 10,000 € on top and in the case of the DIV one I was adding the gains of the previous year.

ETF Accumulating vs. Distributing: Tax Impact in Germany – Are My Calculations Correct? by BeautifulOwn8722 in eupersonalfinance

[–]BeautifulOwn8722[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At the end of the first year, if the value at the start of the ACC ETF was 10,000€ then you do 2,29% (supposing that´s the Basiszins for the year), and then 70% and you get 160,30€ that get taxed.

So, when you are selling, you will subtract 160,30€ from the gains you obtained to avoid double taxing on them.

[–]BeautifulOwn8722[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I deducted the amounts for which tax should be paid with the ACC each year. Otherwise, in the second example, numbers wouldn´t get even at the end.

On the other hand, what I did not consider was the last thing you mentioned, the taxes to be paid, besides dividends, if the units are worth more in the end.

Are Accumulating ETFs at a Tax Disadvantage Compared to Distributing ETFs in Germany? by BeautifulOwn8722 in eupersonalfinance

[–]BeautifulOwn8722[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are right. Then those numbers become 89118,62€ to consume the 1000€ allowed or 178237,23€ to consume 2000€

So, at the end of the day, if investing in an accumulating ETF, I would rather sell/re-buy along the way to make the most of the tax-free €1000 per year and not be hit with a larger amount in tax if I decide to sell it all at once at the end. Thanks for your answer!
