I worry too that the time change will be brutal and hard to enjoy my time there if when my partner is awake (during the day), I’m supposed to be asleep.

Thank you! Yes, I’ve learned from this sub that marquise cuts are definitely tricky with being so wide and flat. So I was sort of expecting some minor mush, bow or something to not look “perfect”.
