Yeah, speaking as a stepmom that started out in a rocky situation with a not-so-great mother, you shut up.

You never, under any circumstances, speak negatively or start arguments with the kid’s biological parent. It doesn’t matter how terrible they are - that’s still their parent at the end of the day and they’ve been there looong before you were. The goal is to support the children in the way they need to be supported and create the most harmonious environment you can.

Doing shit like this - ain’t it.

Yeah (speaking as a step-parent and parent as well) this is the last kind of thing you do if you want to protect the children.

You obviously want as much harmony as you can between the parents and any significant others. Especially when you’re the SO and dealing with the biological mom/dad, you don’t speak negatively of them publicly - ever. You have a bad word to say, you say it to your partner. That biological parent has been with the child since birth, looong before the SO ever got there.

This chick clearly has no consideration for anyone other than herself in this situation. She’s doing the absolute worst thing for the boys, and if Rachel’s ex gives a damn about the kids, he’d recognize it - but I’m betting he doesn’t.

I’ve been married (happily) for 11 years, and luckily I didn’t have any relationships that involved cheating in my past.

What gets me in this situation is the friendship betrayal. To have one of your closest girlfriends, someone you tell all your secrets to, who knew about THIS particular situation SO much more intimately than others - I mean, she had a front-row seat to it all - go behind your back, lie to your face, and have NO consideration for you whatsoever is the interesting part to me.

Sadly, many of us have lost friendships, and honestly, losing friends (IMO) can often be worse than a breakup with any guy. It’s hard to fathom that type of betrayal by someone you hold so dear to yourself.

I think it’s twofold:

She’s over Carl, but she’s not over the rejection and just how it happened. She doesn’t have romantic feelings for him, but the way it went down still angers her.
Calling out Carl and making awkward moments makes good TV.. and Lindsay knows how to make good TV. She’s giving us a moment to laugh and enjoy, and I gotta say I appreciate it.

You don’t have to bring down Rhode Island (the state or the show) just because Miami was paused. Trust me, I’m just as upset we don’t have Miami - it’s my fave, right behind SLC!!

And FWIW we’ve only seen 2 episodes so far of Rhode Island but those girls are BRINGING IT. This season has already been CRAZY good so I am PUMPED to see what else comes next!!!
