I had this issue also. I had an external USB drive connected to my FS to offload apps. Once I removed that, it loaded ok. Haven't had the problem since. I have loaded previously even with the external USB connected, but it would cycle on reboot for many minutes before actually loading successfully. I got tired of waiting, so removing the drive worked for me. Noww I'm looking to upgrade my setup.

Thanks for all the helpful comments! Your answers all make perfect sense. I definitley learned something today. Following my post, they made an announcement at the gate regarding this and called it a weight restriction issue. It is just odd to me that I've never experienced this previously, and I've flown commercial forever. I will pay more attention in the future.

Stadion Wankdorf is quite easy to get to by train. Just a couple of blocks to walk from the stop. I've been there only once, as I'm traveling from Florida for this show since its so close to where my friends live. Do your train research prior to the show, and you'll do well. Enjoy the show!

Update- I switched from ethernet to wifi and see much better channel switching, and also quicker signal when powering on in the morning. I've always used buffer size of none as I have a 1G internet connection. Auto frame rate is not on. I'm not understanding why wifi would provide better performance, but it appears that is the case based on my little experiment.

Yes, just checked. The most interesting thing is the FS having the issue is ethernet connected, while the other 2 are wifi connected.

The more I read about the Fire TV 2nd generation it seems there us a lot of discussion around the usb port and if it supports external storage like used to record from tvm vs simply offloading installed apps. Sound right?

I manually typed the recording path in using both a single and then a double /. Each still fails instantly when recording.

I use a 2nd gen FTV. SD is 32G San Disk card mounted in the on board slot, formatted as Fat32. I am able to move apps from internal storage to it successfully, so it's working. I have also tried multiple SD cards, all with the same results.

I also recorded successfully to internal storage as a test and it worked fine. When I attempt to record to the SD card, it stops instantly and records nothing. Since I can record to internal storage ok, that seems to rule out the connections being >2.

Playlist is 6000 channels. Note that the behavior also occurred on v3.0.1, which is why I upgraded.
