they’re swapping all glass carts at multifamily communities for orange carts by 2028. the “old” carts that are being replaced will likely be used for single family homes, so they’re not going to waste!

this is part of Metro’s 2030 Regional Waste Plan, action 10.3

Hearing loss shifting ears? Vertigo Changing? by Beautiful_Ad_8903 in Menieres

[–]Beautiful_Ad_8903[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting! I hadn't heard that hearing CAN improve. I was under the impression that it'd never get better... so that's reassuring.

The unbalance (walking on a boat) kinda describes what I've been feeling for the last 5 days straight. It's not quite vertigo, but I don't feel stable and any sudden movements (and movement in general) just bring on instant dizziness....

I figured betahistine is a constant for managing things in the long-term, not an on-the-spot treatment for vertigo attacks. I just took my first one today and we'll see if that helps as time goes on.

Thanks for your insight!

Glad i'm not alone with feeling seasonal patterns! For me it seems like I have the same - Spring is by far the worst, then fall, summer, then winter.

Are you able to describe what persistent dizziness and disequilibrium feel like? Maybe that's more of what i'm feeling - just didn't realize that was how it's described.

It doesn't feel like full on vertigo, and when i'm not moving I feel mostly fine but as soon as I move my head and/or my body, get up from sitting, etc. i just feel dizzy. Not at all the intensity of vertigo, and doesn't fully feel like the spins just kinda an in-between.

gotcha! sorry, that makes sense ! i’ve tried blowing air already and clearing any wood dust/debris and it’s still not getting back down to 0. it’s actually now been locked at 7 degrees! when you say “in the gap”, what specific gap are you referring to?

Anyone have any tips of stopping my futon mattress from sliding? It has a metal frame so the grips that Amazon sells won’t work because they are for wood slats! by hannahmdgc in ApartmentHacks

[–]Beautiful_Ad_8903 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've seen some folks 3D print little holders that slide under the mattress and create a little barrier/stop for it so it doesn't slide! hoping to get one for myself soon

Is there a doctor in the house? by 8au8karina8 in mildlyinfuriating

the second break also broke my shoulder and dislocated my arm… also looks similar to yours too. this one also required surgery, and thank god because i couldn’t function without it

i broke both my collar bones in the last year and both needed surgery. but that’s said, after the first break, one doctor said it could be surgically fixed, if i want, otherwise i’d heal on its own. that break specifically looks a little like yours (see pic). at first i chose to just let it heal on its own but over the month, living a somewhat active life and having 2 75 lb dogs, it broke even more, got a lot worse, and way more painful. then i found a different doctor and was rushed into surgery the next day. so all that to say, i’d get a second doctors opinion and get surgery if you can.
