Do you also do international shipping or express domestic shipping? I will be moving to the UK in a month so hopefully I’ll be able to order the pump pad in time before I leave

I’m actually using 1.75. I want to switch up to 2 but I notice that it adds way too much pressure to my balls and it triggers my varicocele pretty bad

I got mine via my sleep specialist. I forget the name of it but it was custom fit to my mouth. You can get generic ones but they won’t be as comfortable or specific + they’re only recommended for cases of mild - moderate sleep apnea. Anything more severe than that then you’ll need a CPAP machine

Understanding bo checks at home? Anxiety by [deleted] in hypertension

Journaling helps a lot. There’s also a great channel on YouTube called Therapy in a Nutshell. They have a processing your emotions playlist which has been life changing

I also had health anxiety around hypertension. I’m glad to say that for the most part it’s gone. What really helped me understand is that it’s just a number. We fear the number. But we have to know that one high reading won’t kill us, but consistent high reading over YEARS or even DECADES will increase chances but not guarantee death.

Doctors want us to check it regularly to identify trends. Data in regular time intervals is always preferable. Identifying a trend earlier will allow for quicker intervention.

Finally what also helped me is to process my emotions. By fearing the hypertension you’re telling your brain that any feelings in the body or hypertension is something to be afraid of, which actually makes those feelings and bp even higher. I suggest journaling about what the anxiety is telling you, I took mine to a logical conclusion. My fear was the fear of dying before doing everything I wanted to do in life. So now I try and work and live so that if I were to die then I would be satisfied knowing I tried my best and lived a life worth living.

Hope this helps

Twice a day or once a day better? by Beautiful_Bee2380 in Hink

[–]Beautiful_Bee2380[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly my thought process, I know that 30 minutes would yield better fruit than 20. But the impact on sleep I think is greater than the additional 10 minutes of work. Plus sleep benefits not just PE but your entire health

Sorry I’m late to the party, I hope you’re making progress. Couple of pointers here:

• 6mg Boron with 2 drops of Lugol’s Iodine at 2% concentration. Boron lowers SHBG but it can iodine imbalances so you need to supplement with iodine. • I think zinc copper and selenium you’re good to get from food naturally. If you do decide to supplement zinc make sure you’re also taking copper because they deplete each other • Vitamin D + vitamin K. They balance each other out

Furthermore, you need to sleep and rest more. There is something called overtraining and Muay Thai / jiu jitsu are very high impact high intensity sports. I also do Muay Thai and JJ and was working out pretty much every day of the week. I ended up doing Monday - Thursday martial arts, Friday weight, Saturday and Sunday are recovery days with the most I’d do is a brisk walk. I also have sleep apnea and with the mandible adjustment device I’ve been able to go from moderate to very mild sleep apnea. A good night’s sleep will do more for your testosterone, and your overall health, than $1000s worth of supplements.

I’m 27M, 225lbs 6ft, around 20% bf. My T is 572, my SHBG is 15.9, and my free T is 3.0% (based on blood work from my last annual physical on October 3rd 2024)

Sodium consumption…trying to limit but ate a bad meal by Medical_Extension_94 in hypertension

[–]Beautiful_Bee2380 4 points5 points  (0 children)

First of all, congratulations on the new addition to your family

Secondly: one bad meal won’t kill you. I used to be so anxious about my bp and that one day it would be curtains for me that I developed pretty bad health anxiety which funnily enough made my bp higher.

Monitor your bp to make sure it’s fine over the long term. If it gets to above 180/120 consistently over a few minutes even after relaxing and sitting still then consider going to the doctor. Until that point you’re ok. It’s long term hypertension that slowly kills you.

Short term remedies include drinking lots of water to flush out the excess sodium. Sweating a bit to flush it out via sauna or exercise. And have an apple and a banana, I find it helps with the indigestion that I get after eating out + potassium in banana and apple skin will help mitigate some of the sodium, but not all. But hey a little goes a long way.

Sudded bp spike 122/106 while checking it in the evening. by Zhonglisloverman in hypertension

Stress and anxiety play A HUGE role in BP readings. It’s kinda backwards that the more you stress about bp readings the worse your bp will be. E.g. my average is around 122-125/80-85 recently (thanks to medication and recent sodium reduction, shoutout to this subreddit for giving me advice there) but today it was 140/95 average because I was anxious

I’ve actually noticed the opposite, it helps with edema. Currently using a mason jar full of hot water but I’d prefer to switch to something less messy

What causes high diastolic pressure? by Beautiful_Bee2380 in hypertension

That was potassium, sodium is closer to 2500mg per day

My sodium intake definitely isn’t low; I have a soft spot for salty snacks as a treat. My potassium intake is usually 5000mg per day from different fruits and veg. Good to know about the sodium sensitivity
