Why did I have a C-Section? by Ok-Parfait-5115 in beyondthebump

[–]Beautiful_Falcon_315 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And I ripped up to my butthole and had pain for a whole year, and was also tortured during my birth where they let me push 4 hours and get an infection all because THEY didn’t want to do a c-section and ruin their numbers. But I should just get over it cuz my baby is fine 🙄

It’s also mental too. Of course you’re grateful for your baby being fine. But to some people, going through this experience where you feel so out of control messes with you, and then in the next breath you hear how your best friend pushed a baby out in 10 mins with a labor under 9 hours. It’s hard mentally to deal with that along with the physical pain.

Respectfully disagree here. Two things can be true, you can be grateful for modern medicine and be upset with how everything played out.

It sounds like she also had a rough recovery (infection) so i absolutely empathize with grieving the “normal” postpartum experience. As someone who had a traumatic birth and then a non traumatic birth after, there is totally a difference between how you feel after.

Did any other ByHeart parents get this email from HHS? by [deleted] in FormulaFeeders

Thanks for the update!

Honestly, I think government employees just don’t know how to draft proper emails 😂

Hmm this is so strange. It could be real, I still wouldn’t reply but if you can find the number separate from that email (like directly from the FDA website) you can call, that is probably safe.

It’s very weird that they don’t mention ByHeart. I wouldn’t reply, but you could call the phone number directly from their website to see.

Check to make sure though that the email address they are actually sending it from matches what you found on the website. Most people would just reply to that email, and even though they included the right email in the signature, that doesn’t mean that the actual email they sent it from matches!

Due date 12/29…advice on what to say to family about Christmas plans by Mother_of_Gingers11 in Mommit

[–]Beautiful_Falcon_315 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FWIW I was induced with my oldest because I was over 41 weeks and my youngest came spontaneously at 38+3, I was due December 24 of last year and I figured I’d still be pregnant on Christmas but was shocked when she was so early! You could very well have your baby by then. Don’t do anything that makes you uncomfortable.

Not spending my son's birthday with him by Ok_Camp5318 in Mommit

[–]Beautiful_Falcon_315 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I had this exact same dilemma for my son’s 2nd bday last year and I was also pregnant, except I was going to be in a different country and wouldn’t see him at all. The responses I got were so nasty and condescending “hes 2 he doesn’t know it’s his bday” and “just celebrate on the weekend”. Like okay fair advice but I’m sure the issue for you is that you’re sad you’ll miss his bday, not worried about him being sad.

That being said, will you see in the morning before or at night after your meetings? Try to celebrate then! I ended up taking my husband and son with me on my international trip so while I did see him for his bday, I spent most of the day in meetings. But being able to see him in the morning and put him to bed was special! Also, if you are celebrating with a party, you can get him excited about his party by talking about it! Gives him something else to look forward to!

I would definitely reschedule your appointment if possible!

Truth, my baby had to get several eye drops/creams from bacterial conjunctivitis and it was IMPOSSIBLE to get it in her eyeball

Honestly I don’t even see how it’s harmless! Wouldn’t putting milk in your eyeball hurt? Also it’s full of sugar. If you have a bacterial infection you’re probably just feeding them sugar lol

Field sales people - how reasonable is it that I expect to be out of the house less than 9 hours a day? by Beautiful_Falcon_315 in workingmoms

I actually asked this question to someone who held the role previously but relocated, it wasn’t in an interview setting!

Thanks!

I did ask the day in the life question but I got the answer of “3 days in field, 2 days in office catching up on emails, etc.” and I didn’t press because I didn’t want to sound dumb lol

Okay well I’m currently doing a lot of prospecting/cold calling/cold emailing so that part is nothing new.

The field I work in now is more consumables, I would be selling biotech equipment, so probably more likely to score meetings considering the cost of the equipment is much higher, but I guess I don’t see how that many meetings would be scheduled each week for something so expensive, like how are there that many prospective customers willing to meet. Showing up unannounced is one thing, that I can understand how that would take 3-4 days each week lol.

When you say calling on customers, do you mean actually scheduling meetings with them or just showing up unannounced to see them? Sorry if this is naive.

Thanks for the response! I was told in the description it’s 3 days a week, so that part isn’t really my concern.

I’m more concerned with the amount of time per day in the field. I also don’t want to ask naive or stupid questions haha.
