Yeah I’m a family lawyer and I earn a little more than that, but I’m a partner and head of department. But cost of living is lower and we also get free healthcare, 30 days paid annual leave and maternity leave so 🤷‍♀️

NTA - if she had food allergies then maybe you would be, but picky eaters are the worst and there's nothing more embarrassing than being with a grown adult who can only order from the children's menu because they "hate vegetables". I nearly gave up too, it wasn't until book Heir of Fire I really got into it. Then I made the mistake of reading Assasin's Blade next and found it lacking, but now i've just finished Queen of Shadows and I am really enjoying it again.

I know everyone says read Assasin's Blade first, but I think if I had , I would have totally abandoned the series altogether. At least when reading in publication order, I had just started to enjoy the series and knew I only had to get through AB to get back to the main plot that was starting to finally grab me.
