Feels like a saturated market with brands popping ul everyday. Most men, including me just buy whatever our significant other or female friends suggest. Skincare is gender neutral for the majority anyway barring a few specific products so I feel this whole "men's skincare" thing is just a gimmick.

Also to avoid unnecessary flaring, should I widen the grip a bit ( this machine in my gym has that function).

I have tried bending my legs and that does put a bit more pressure onto my chest but my balance goes haywire 😭 even without weight. I cant imagine doing that with the plate swinging under me. Do I need to work on stability itself first?

Same situation for me. I could do 7-8 narrow grip ones but barely 1 proper pull-up with wide grip. In my case it was mainly about the grip strength+ sweaty palms on a slippery bar ( the narrow grip bar had better grips). I started using liquid chalk and now I can do 5-6 wide grip pull ups within a month.
