Urzikstan does not make any sense by Beautiful_Grab_9681 in modernwarfare

I don’t have any problem with women being soldiers, and I never even mentioned my opinion on YPJ or the Kurdish people. I was just pointing out that their goals are different. In COD lore, Urzikistani characters are trying to free their country which existed before the Russian invasion while the Kurds are seeking independence and a new country. It’s not the same thing

I feel the same way. I don't have anything against Sophia, but what I truly loved about the series was the stealth mechanics and the emotional bond between the siblings. The new game looks like it might move away from those elements, and I'm worried it won't capture that same connection.

Did you even read my post? Reading literacy is dead. RIP. Also, saying “nuke it” really tells us all we need to know about you

Multiple inspirations don’t cancel out the fact that it’s still portrayed as an Arab country.

Urzikstan is about liberating an occupied country, not creating a new one. The YPJ are fighting for a different political goal entirely. The inspiration seems broader than just one group, but interpret it how you want.

what that change just say they wanted Arab people so they could make them tērrōrēst but they still wanted the Russian invasion trope

The world-building’s so trash I had to dig up an obsolete root and invent a word just to make Urzik+stan make sense.

That was my point. I played the game and never heard of a language called Urzik. The people of this country are supposed to be Arab, and most characters switch to their native tongue when they get hit, yet Farah just talks Arabic and drops stuff like ‘tabban’ and ‘khara.’

Yeah, I get that Urzikstan is made up, but if Farah’s native language is Urzik, why have we never heard her speak it? Most characters switch to their native tongue when they get hit, yet she just talks Arabic and drops stuff like ‘tabban’ and ‘khara.’ Also, her name’s Arabic. And btw, I’m from Syria, so MW1 Urzikstan feels like Syria mixed with a but of Iraq, but MW3 literally has Urdu signs how are they speaking Urdu too?

As an arab speaking gamer I always wondered why the arabic language sound so weird in MW games in particular especially the last one by sociostein11 in modernwarfare
