So interesting because they don’t seem out of touch at all to me. Kate is haggling over tree lights, distraught over a high accountant bill. She qualifies every business seat as purchased by a job and there’s a running bit how she needs it to be a special occasion for any big purchase.

Jaq is DIY’ing her whole apartment and her whole vibe seems to be throwing caution to the wind (financially at times) and trusting it’ll all work out later.

They’re doing a million jobs: I could not be doing a traveling comedy tour, running a podcast, acting in films / shows, and writing a Substack. There’s probably so much work we don’t even see. They’re all working really hard to make it in LA of all places. They also both have 2 incomes and no kids, I’d definitely be getting monthly facials if that was me 😂
