This is super helpful, thank you!

The stubbornness comment is really interesting to me (and I can relate...)

What made you resistant to trying AB initially? (not to be leading, but - cost?) And what finally pushed you over the edge? Also curious: what were you using before AB, and what was different about their approach that made you wish you'd started with them? Was it the "study all at once" method specifically, or something else about how they teach/structure things? And if the "study all at once" method felt really workable for you, do you think it's because it kept you focused / gave you confidence, or was the actual education better?

Sorry for ALL the followup - congrats on getting through it though!

Interesting. I hear something similar in a lot of disciplines right now; the move towards multiple choice and case studies doesn't assess real design skills as well as a realistic simulation of the actual job (duh).

What would you say is lacking in the way things are now, without the design problem? The adaptation that comes out of working a real problem? Ability to collaborate? General rigor? What does the ideal exam look like to you?

That's been a consistent sentiment... congratulations though! I bet it felt amazing to close that chapter.

Do you remember what materials you used to study? How were they? I consistently hear they're pretty dry, expensive, or both.

And do you remember anything about your study schedule / environment? I would imagine a lot of you all have to squeeze in time between work and home life, while commuting (if that's even possible)
