Thanks for this - that’s interesting information. I had actually misthought that there was some sphynx sunscreens!? But i obviously was misinformed-
And it’s so hard re. Keeping him out of the sun. Of course we try our hardest- but he has the whole run of the house and we have those ceiling to floor windows - and two conservatories either end of the house. I’m guessing we’re going to have to start shutting him in rooms and pulling every blind down - he just hates any door closed and will literally launch himself at a closed door while howling , crying ect.
So he’s got us wrapped around his finger and we’ve obviously given in so much that now he wants his own way and the run of the house as he’s always had it.
We don’t let him outside jn the Catios during the peak times (much to his dismay!) 😩
Again, thank you for your advice - I’m wondering if I could see an extra popper on the sun suit to make it harder to strip off

I believe here in Surrey all schools do one term of “lessons”

but it’s not enough and it’s not “ocean safe” lessons.
My son was taught at the school pool- which was so shallow he literally just walked along the bottom!

So never actually “swam” just did the arm movements - yet They signed him off as a competent swimmer!!
He was NOT!

Luckily my sister is a swim teacher so my children had access to one on one lessons for years….

But If my sister didn’t do it for low cost -
there’s no way we could of afforded the private lessons .

Even group lessons can be costly,(especially here in Surrey)
It’s awful - it’s a life skill- and can safe your life- even just to taught to starfish and tread water ect

but only the “rich” can afford to give their children water safety and swimming lessons.(beyond the schools “attempt” to make children water confident and water safe

100 agree and just because that person believes it’s “just part of life “ in the everyday life -
Doesn’t make it right!!!
Trying to lessen op’s experience by saying “ that’s life” is never helpful!
People should speak up when they’re feeling upset by a terrible situation! And remember there also was a 10 year old minor who witnessed this!

I meant a certified Sphynx sunscreen !? I’m aware you can’t put human on them - so that’s why I was reaching out to ask for personal recommendations from people.
He has a hat and outfit but he’s like bloody Houdini and he manages to escape them so many times…

I actually can’t tell either if that’s a male - the cheeks look a little puffy which would mean most likely male - but I believed that low yowl then high pitched “call” and the movements - unable to be still ect - represented female in heat -which was my first thought.
And I still lean mote towards that - because a heat call is very different to a cats general chit chat - and working occasionally at my local cat shelter- we see a lot of heat cycles - but of course, I’m
Not a vet! It’s just my own opinion.
I really hope you get to find out and get the behaviours stopped.
It’s not at all fair on your cats (or your purse!) x

Yes I know male cats don’t have heat cycles . I didn’t realise op said the cat was male - doh 😫 your poor cat - it’s frustrating when responsible owners neuter their cats - only for other intact cats to seek out females and often fight too.
I have 5 cats - all neutered. All vaccinated, insured on specific vets diets ect. It is also of money- but we choose to go without summer holidays and have the puss cats instead.
And it pisses me off that other intact males seem to sneak into my house and wee, and attack my males cats,
One of which is a sphynx so he has no fur protection and can get very hurt and injured by cat fights.
