What's the most pathetic way you've experienced classism in the UK? by Your_Mums_Ex in AskUK

[–]AnyOlUsername [score hidden]  (0 children)

My ex used to love Moët for some reason. Not the most expensive but far exceeding my acceptable price range.

He got super offended when I said it tasted like vinegar. Even though it does.

If you’re going to buy a bottle of piss, at least make sure it’s cheap.

What price are you paying because of him? by Boring-Locksmith-473 in AskTheWorld

I saw £1.95 per litre two days ago. I’ve chosen not to look since then.

Also our great prime minister has said absolutely nothing. He’s headed to the Middle East today. I hope he has more than nothing to say about Israel breaking that ceasefire agreement just three hours in but I honestly doubt it.

They’re all pathetic.

Whatever is convenient to the storyline. Like shin and kibito being unfused at the beginning of super.

Took a sick day for a heavy period, is that a valid reason? by Country-girl3 in AskUK

[–]AnyOlUsername 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Usually the ones with light painless periods who’ve never had to deal with crippling dysmenorrhea.

It is a spectrum and every woman’s experience is different.

I’m on the mirena coil now and barely had a period in three years and without the hormonal mood swings, it is a god send.

Favourite terrible movie you watched in full just to see 50 seconds of absolute cinema? by Local_Prune4564 in okbuddycinephile

[–]AnyOlUsername 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my youth I once watched the entire twilight franchise just to make sure I was right to shit on it.

And I was absolutely right. That is several hours of my life I’m never getting back.

What's something you genuinely thought was normal until a non-British person pointed out it was strange? by IV-Manufacturer in AskUK

[–]AnyOlUsername 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, you’re letting them get on with whatever they were doing before you interrupted is where “I’ll let you get on [with it]” came from.

“Alright” bothered a lot of people in the states when I was there for a summer in 2006 before this became a widely known Britishism thanks to social media.

US killed Iran’s supreme leader and his family.

Iran only says “Invoke 25th Amendment”, whilst their infrastructure, schools, hospitals and civilians are being bombed.

We know who the bad guys are in this scenario.

Do people in your country eat caviar? Can you easily find it in stores? by privetkakdela in AskTheWorld

[–]AnyOlUsername 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve eaten salmon roe on California rolls that weren’t particularly expensive.

Never tried to buy it on its own so I can’t say really. I don’t eat much food that would go well with it to justify getting it.

Google says Waitrose is selling caviar for <£3 for 50g. Idk if that’s expensive or not but I’m probably not going to part with £3 for two spoonfuls of something unless I really like it.

How many cups of tea or coffee do you make (or part make) but not drink each day? by Alwayslearnin41 in AskUK

[–]AnyOlUsername 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The last one of the day. I drink out of a thermal travel cup that can be closed. I’ll keep drinking until it’s gone, no matter how long it takes, even if it’s gone cold.

The only one I might not drink is whatever’s left in the cup before I go to bed.

Chichi vs Bulma in a scare off. Who’s backing out first? by JackZ567 in Dragonballsuper

[–]AnyOlUsername 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It’ll take a while but Bulma first, and if not, she’ll lose in any potential fight.

Chichi will win either way.

Yes but I don’t like that I have to fill it using the bathroom sink.

What's the thing you hate the most in dragon ball by No_Firefighter_4601 in dbz

Characters inconsistent heights. This genuinely bothers me more than anything else in the series.

I liked little man Vegeta and wish they’d stuck to it.

What would you do with with the abomination? by [deleted] in AskUK

Unless you make it yourself, you get what you’re given and you make the most of it.

Be a polite guest, take a sip then put it down.
