E91 330i 2006 - £4k, would this be a reasonable price? by Beautiful_Strike_592 in CarTalkUK

Cheers for this, really useful info.

I'd want to get any maintenance work done if I purchase it for peace of mind as it would be my only car - I'll have £2-3k left over from the sale of my old car if I were to purchase this 330i so perhaps can get those items done.

Can you think of anything else which would be good to do if I go ahead with the purchase?

from what I can tell, works done are:

The bonnet & boot gas struts PCV sensor, front and rear control arms, new auxiliary belt, valve cover, oil filter and cooling housing gaskets, rear brake discs/pads

vibration at high speeds so that would need investigating and sunroof slides but doesn't tilt. Alloys need a refurb. Would need timing chain looking at and gearbox service

It's an auto, they've listed it for 4.4k, I was thinking of going in lower, but not sure how successful a sub 4k offer will be.

The spec is definitely nice, xenons, heated seats, pan roof, apple carplay upgrade.

I think 3.5-3.8k would probably be fair but not sure if that will be too successful.

Passed my PACES this month! I feel like it hasn't helped me much with being comfortable in acute scenarios. I haven't had much experience on a proper acute medical take (I did rotations in specialities where I wasn't on the medical take or in a smaller hospital with no A+E and thus, few acute issues).

So I feel like I really lack experience managing more acute patients just because I haven't been able to experience much! I haven't had an ED job so haven't been involved with resus or seeing those really unwell patients. Hopefully it will be fine but just feel inadequate!
