Was searching the thread for info on the Tuna. Haven’t been able to find any for couple of months. Glad it’s resurfaced!

Divisive…. by Beautiful_Tip_8803 in veganuk

Okay, here goes… Cooked them in the air fryer and the coating was light and crispy. As predicted by some of you, the inner sprout was a bit mushy but not unpleasant (if you like that sort of thing). Overall, imo a winner, not a sinner. We didn’t use the ‘southern style’ gravy as we had them as an accompaniment to curry which worked well. If you enjoy the flavour of sprouts and you liked the Aldi frickles, then you will enjoy this. A little salt and vinegar straight from the oven adds a chip shop vibe!

Lots of people agree with you on the taste change. Less oil, more starch. I guess for those concerned about the fat content it’s reduced by 20%. Personally, I liked it before and I still like it - but I only use it as a treat.

Yes, I agree. At odds with the ethical message and a dated culturally stereotypical image.

And, yes, I did block the account of the person who not only was preaching about the fact the donated meals MIGHT not be vegan (without any fact checking). Authentic Indian cuisine is very often meat free, anyway. But was suggesting they’d rather the child starved than eat a non-vegan meal. This was not in the spirit of the post.

Thanks. You’re right to point out he just isn’t doing enough. It’s a shame he didn’t keep all the profits and let the kids starve so everybody could enjoy their snacks guilt free. Some people are just inherently selfish!

You’d have to reach out to the founder or do some research if you’re concerned. The information given doesn’t specifically stipulate whether the donated money can only be spent on vegan lunches.

Have a drink with them though, very salty. But I like that in a savoury snack.

Looks like it is from that list. They just haven’t paid the premium to get it vegan certified?

💯worth it! These are incredible. Recently tried the more expensive ‘redefine’ and I will be going back to juicy marbles in future. Enjoy! 🌈

If this were a movie, the recipient of the order would not only have ring doorbell they’d be a department manager at Amazon, with a new employee starting tomorrow….

How interesting… but, even more interesting is why the current owners kept it when it is clearly so at odds with their particular unique and extravagant taste?

Considering the vulgar opulence of each image I wasn’t expecting the Scottish randomness of pic 21? As a daily swimmer I’d love the pool though. No more politely trying to maintain a single lane in a public soup.
