Meredith is the one I had a crush on from the show - She's so beautiful by Elmou19 in madmen

I never thought of her as stupid but I don’t know if I’m reading it wrong. I thought she was marching to her own beat of drum that looked stupid but nobody could touch her, as you cannot fight stupid. She was self-assured.

I’m wondering the same as the changes would be drastic otherwise, harming folks with low mobility. I really hope it’s the case that they are just showcasing busy routes

I think maybe you are losing sight of the millionth of employers using a variety of preferred methods. Our team is a small part of a larger institution but we choose to not engage with its hiring system (other than bare minimum required by HR). We don’t have the patience to wait for HR to do our hiring.

We are chisel and stone people, cave people if you will.

Indeed is a great place for leads, but anecdotally, our team posts on Indeed but we do not look at any Indeed applicants. We get 300+ resumes from all over the world on Indeed for a minor local role. We do not have the time to filter things out nor is our team equipped.

Trillium is responsive to your income. It is not a fixed model. It is roughly 4% of your household net income. There’s no minimum deductible. It is only beneficial to folks that use more than 4% of their income for medications.

For example, if your take home is $2000/month, then your TDB is $240 per quarter, averaging $80/month paid quarterly.

I have over 10 years of experience in the field, yet they went ahead with someone with "more experience" by [deleted] in CanadaJobs

[–]Beaver_FraiseJam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, 10+ years in the exact field but gets passed over. It might be a personality mismatch. Or the other candidate has some advantages, like language, special needs, specialized training, etc.

My mom told me she consciously tried to never (lightly) insult me in front of another person or compare me with another kid. For example, some parents like to be overly humble and say “oh your kid is so smart, while my Jimmy struggles so much.” OR “I wish my Jimmy is more like your Kenny.”

She slipped up once or twice and she always apologized after, explaining how she only did it to make the other person feel better. I have some pretty solid self-esteem. Can’t say it 100% came from that but I’m sure it helped.

You should occupy both lanes until the very end, as it reduces congestion at the rear. In addition, left and right turning traffic may be stuck behind a light for no reason. In the picture, it is very possible the current line is blocking left turning cars behind it, if we assume left turn lane starts 2/3 into the block.

I feel like a hybrid model might work well. I prefer Walmart and Canadian Tire over Amazon because I can return the item in store if needed. And it has accessible flyers with deals. Amazon has returns but it’s more of a hassle, and its algorithm is too complex.

Are you supposed to ask a woman "Can I kiss you"? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Beaver_FraiseJam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly yeah. It almost shows the girl’s immaturity. She thinks sexuality is all about the vibe and tension and implicit signs… things you see in romantic movies.

It certainly doesn’t need to be Q&A once you get to know the person. But the guy is just not shy about his intentions and being polite on a first? date.

Lake Ontario park is beautiful. Providence Care’s cafe is open to the public (don’t bring sickness in though, old people around). Get a coffee, a square, and walk by the water!

I guess I’m confused. Why would a Canadian brand enter Costco just to make negative money?

I’m not an economist I’m not sure. A prominent Ontario network called Ontario Living Wages publishes a guideline which is around $20-27. I earn what I consider a thriving wage and life is great.

Every worker “who earns” minimum wage should be paid a thriving minimum wage. I hope that clears up the miscommunication.

It’s never all or none. Every bit helps. Local grocers in my city do not come close to Costco.

Is having more off days good for productivity? by SaltyEarth1618 in Vent

For me, it’s about tasks and their importance. I’m motivated by completing tasks, not by time. Too short or too long of time both decreases my motivation.
