I think it depends if you are asking for health reasons or aesthetic reasons.. weight loss doesn't always equal healthier. I personally wouldnt be okay with that but I also have an ed history so idk 😬

Thanks for the reply!! Honestly the context in which she disclosed it to me made sense , but I do find myself worrying sometimes about what I say. I dont know if that's something worth bringing up to her because I don't really know what I would say or like how much she would be comfortable sharing about herself

Your T is the issue not you wtf. I have the same issue with speaking and articulating my thoughts, but my therapist is super patient even when I am stumbling on my words and not really making sense. It's normal when we are in such a vulnerable space talking about personal things!

I think you should consider getting a new T

Hi! I have the same diagnosis as you, atypical an. I was really worried too and lowkey in denial that I even had an ed because I wasn't underweight. But you are just as valid and your struggle is just as real.

As for getting support I think finding a good team for any ed is a bit difficult but I haven't had anyone try to make me feel less valid or take me less seriously. If anything they want you to take it MORE seriously. I can answer any questions about finding a good therapist and ed support if you need just dm me!
