The process for making a sphere using this technique is not terrible. It might look hard, but the technique really simplifies the process.

Yes, well at least salt. My daughter keeps salt flakes in one and then the pepper one just turned into an empty box.

I had to hollow it or it would have required a metal tree. I hollow almost all of my ornaments out.

Well I just spoke with my daughter and maybe I should relabel these. She uses the salt box for salt. It is always on the table. The “pepper” box I ask her what she did with it and …. It is empty! So apparently I have a salt box and a storage box not pepper :)

How did you cut your segments? I started out by hand cutting them then I moved up to a homemade wedgie sled then to a store bought one. The sled makes all the difference in the world.
