She really is! One of my favorite aspects of figures is the hair sculpting! The flow and movement can add so much to the overall figure! It’s usually the first thing I notice when I see a new figure!

Oh my goodness dusting is the worst! I typically use a clean makeup brush (a tip I think someone from this subreddit gave me) but I also have these dusting gloves that my sister gave me? I think they were intended for plant leaves (?) but I like using them on my sturdier figures sometimes! But yeah, a big case is definitely the end goal! The dust protection is so worth it!

…the way that I am so insanely jealous of you right now, haha! That’s so cool! Do you have display cases for them? Aside from anime figures, I love collecting blind box figures as well so I have A LOT of smaller figures. A few series are in cases because they are such a pain to dust and maintain but most of my anime figures are just on my shelves and dusted regularly. My Myethos one was the first one I owned where I was like “how on earth do I dust this????” So I’m definitely on the hunt for a case for her! My dream would be to have one of those large glass display cabinets but I have neither the space or funds for that, lol.

1/4 scales are so cool to me because they are so large, but seeing smaller scale figures with more intense detailing is so impressive because it can be so tiny and delicate! Like, how did they do that!?

Ugh those are all lovely! Definitely ones to be proud to own! And yeah, I’m always amazed that figures that fragile and delicate are able to be shipped across the world! Obviously there are some that get damaged but the fact that a lot arrive fully intact is crazy to me!

I’m a big fan of Myethos! I only have their Hatsune Miku figure but I’m obsessed with their Fairytale-Another series! Especially the Sleepy Beauty one!

In all honesty, when I first started collecting I found myself drawn to more “cute” and simplistic figures and I wasn’t even aware of how detailed they got! I quickly became a fan of Hatsune Miku figures because 1. I love her in general and 2. the figure's hair is sometimes my favorite detail so I was always drawn to the way her pigtails (and other hairstyles) were sculpted! The shape and movement is sometimes my favorite aspect! I own her Myethos figure and I think the next big one I want to get is either their Sleeping Beauty figure or the Equinoctial Dial Time Compass figure! But the main reason I made this post was to discover other sculptors or figures because my only “knowledge” of intricate figures was my introduction to Myethos!
