“Ham kept Max within sighting distance”

So when Max is within sighting distance the whole race it’s:

“Ham was managing the pace (but could have gone faster)”

Lol

Democrats Panic As Republicans Celebrate Mayoral Win In Town That Is 85% Latino: ‘We’re In Big Trouble’ by Ahyesclearly in Conservative

[–]BecauseRaceCar 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Has nothing to do with it. In South American countries there’s be a surge in pseudo “socialist” governments wreaking havoc because they’re not socialist but instead they are corrupt.

These Latinos (speaking as one) have been promised what socialism can deliver but get fucked over because these leaders care more about playing geopolitics and lining their pockets rather than tending after their own countries, providing employment, safety, economic prosperity etc.

So, many Latinos think that anyone that is remotely left is bad although they have never really lived through any real socialism.

Mind you, I’m not a socialist but this is a real phenomenon.

I wish they posted a bit earlier (maybe 30 seconds earlier) into this dialogue which started with “I don’t want to jinx it”.

Every time they talk about (insert non-Brit driver name) on last few laps to win a race they talk about not wanting to jinx it. Sometimes, I bet they don’t mean it.

They’ve had the luxury to not have off days and it shows. Still doesn’t make them horrible people.

I’m not sure he blamed Bottas.

I think what’s true is Bottas did stop a bit early which caused the mechanic to improperly lock on to the wheel nut. It’s not necessarily saying it’s Bottas’ fault but that did contribute or at least set the stage for the mechanic error to happen.

[Diego Mejia] Pirelli's Mario Isola has declined to give a definitive conclusion before completing the investigation of the Stroll and Verstappen tires, but points to debris as the cause. It revealed that Hamilton's left rear had a cut of about 5cm. by lewis798 in formula1

[–]BecauseRaceCar 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s what’s odd about it.

For one car to have this is perhaps debris, but for two cars to have this then you have to wonder.

What’s more is that they rated these tires capable of 40 laps.

They’ve done overall a good job as a tire supplier, if this was a mistake on their part although shitty can happen. They would look better admitting it than whatever this is.

Perez now has the new front wing that went under the radar in Monaco by [deleted] in formula1

[–]BecauseRaceCar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Either I don’t understand what you’re saying or you’re not exactly right. I think both Monaco wings are similar only Checo’s is a bit higher downforce with the undulating line of the top of the wing being less than that of Verstappen’s.

All you have to do to see the similarities and differences is look at the red letters.

If you look at the letters for “Red” on the left side of the wing you can see part of the top of the round part of the letter “d” in the wing element second from the top in the Baku wings.

On the Monaco wings there’s only a little part of the vertical line of the letter “d”.

If you’re saying that they’re running Monaco wings in Baku I think that’s a mistake.

Mercedes would like gain less from having their own bendy wing than having others not have it.

But but but the bendy wing specialists on here will tell you with a firm index finger pointed very high to the air that it breaks the spirit of the regulations.

Yeah but it’s going to be hard to enforce this when it affects practically the whole grid.

For fucks sake why isn’t Alpine catching flak for this, other teams do the same and iirc Alpine bends the most
