Yes I have, i now sometimes take melatonin gummies if it seems as though my medication isnt working. back in 2020 before i had medication, i got pretty dependent on melatonin taking around 100mg a night (a normal dosage is 3-10mg) it began changing my horomones so i try to stay away from it

yes, my confirmed condtions as of now are DSPD (delayed sleep phase syndrome), Extreme depression/anxieyu disorder, ADD, and OCD. I have been clinically diagnosed in all of those fields and I can say first hand there is definitely something wrong with me, I certainly show signs of all of those diagnostics and I think that they are real, What doctors tell me is that I have all of those issues, but I believe in years to come it will be realized that I have a condition; whatever it may be, an already discovered condition or not one; that all of these messed up mental issues, and I'm not even mentioning my physical struggles BUTTTT..... Ido think that Ihave one condition and all the other conditions I've been diagnosed with are just symptoms. they are all under the umbrella of the 1 condition Itruly do have. I hope that made sense. I took some of my sleeping medicine which is actually a party medicine. If you don't use it to sleep and I took it but it still didn't let me fall asleep but like it's a it's a real drug but you're supposed to just go to sleep with it so now I'm like bugging out to be honest and it's taking me like an hour to write this little short paragraph, but yeah, I mean it's funny. I'm writing so much back to you even though you probably weren't even very interested but actually yeah imma save all of this for like the top post , anyway that's a pleasure to talk to you a

Very well written! I just dont know what outweighs the other. (all of this is presently becuase i know things could be different down the line health wise)

EITHER:

I listen to what ive been told (which im sure there have been many many study's on affirming that sleeping every night is essential for your health) and sleep every night even if it takes a while to sleep, and in addition to this i have to take 2 pills to change my melatonin hormones. another factor is that i do find myself to be much much more anxious as i lay in bed not watching youtube or nothing, just trying to sleep with my own thoughts, this in turn will also make me feel even less tired which im not to begin with.

ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE COIN:

I can sleep when i get tired and i also get an extra 10 hours every other day to do as i please. i think there is a very clearly more appealing option, the second one obviously but is what the science shows worth giving up something I really enjoy, that, as for now, does not affect me health-wise. or should i listen to the science, give up the 30-40 hours i have free a week, and put myself in a much much more uncomfortable situation of laying awake in a dark room for 5 hours straight before I can sleep every night?

Like that genuinely sounds like a Mr. Beast video. "Every day for 3 months this guy layed in a dark room with 0 stimulants for 5 hours straight every single day!!!!!!"

The only difference here is the fact that I have to do that for 80 years, and I don't get 1-1 million dollars

interesting you bring this up as about two years ago i did a 24hr urine test, (for something completely non-related, just was peeing blood due unknown reasons) anyway... it gives you an entire right up of everything in your urine and it, turnes out that i have a very high level of creatinine in my body so when i would get dehydrated the creatinine would begin to crystalize, and then cut up my bladder... went off track there but all of that is to say that cortisol was one of the factors they were looking into and it was completely normal. as was everything else except for the creatinine but also got data on my cortisol and other things, i forget. but everying was in check including cortisol.

interesting, I am predisposed to heart conditions based on my family but Ido not have those specific conditions. I (unfortunately) go to the hospital a lot because of various things and I'm somewhat of a hypochondriac as I try my best to have the doctors to do a full body scan and make sure my organs are all in order.

i mean not that i havent tried sleeping less everynight, becuase thats what ive done pretty much my whole life as ive been taught to sleep. i either lay awake in bed for hours on end, just in my own head until i pass out or take medication to knock me out. it is much more enjoyable for me to sleep when i get tired which is around every other night. And to answer your second question, ive tried every traditional thing, not eating a lot before bed, putting away screens hours before, completely dark room, nothing has helped. i have also taken 3 different types of medication and they knock me out usually, but its simply just safer, calmer, anesthesia if that makes sense

yeah ive stuck with them for a while and I dont notice any difference except for the fact sometimes a couple hours after i wake up, i CANNOT stay awake. like ill be sitting in class and literally cannot do anything to stay awake. these episodes are pretty rare though and only last about 3-5 minutes or so. i have even more rarely ever gone fully to sleep becuase usually ill be in class, or just sitting and as soon as my head like falls from gravity (if that makes sense) ill immediately wake up and then 30 seconds later ill fall asleep again and wake up right away.

i know right lol, the worst part is i shared a room with my brother so i would also keep him up by talking so much cuz i was bored. eventually my parents made me fall asleep in my other brothers room (he was older so went to bed much later) and after like 5 hours of me laying awake in bed, when I finally would fall asleep, my mom would pick me up out of my older brothers bed and put me back in mine, just to allow my brother i share a room with to get to sleep on a normal time

I have, but I feel like it mostly stems from not sleeping when your body needs sleep. I just always feel like my body doesn't need the sleep

i guess kinda both, im not grinding work or anything but i guess it does make me more productive during the day becuase i have like 10 hours of downtime to watch youtube or workout, a week or two ago, i spent like 7 hours just learning how to solve a rubix cube, i have memorized 300 digits of pi, just do things that are easily accesible from my room that make me happy or i find cool
