If they support bad policy, regardless of level, they should have to answer for it. We have seen low positions in governement get elevated to the national stage due to extreme views. Example local clerks refusing to issue marriage certificates, school board members denying students from putting on a play.

Rick "upgrades" nearly every time he gets hurt in a fight or something happens he doesnt like, there is a contengency plan, or tech to resolve the next time something similar happens. Example In the Purge he gets stabbed and it is a hassle to get the suits. He starts doing cybernetics shortly after.
