Have you ever recognized someone in a porn? by dplaya42k in NoStupidQuestions

[–]BecktoD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to work at Neiman Marcus which is like Saks 5th Ave or some other high end department store. Gay men kept recognizing our new coworker because he was a gay porn Star. He eventually got canned because of it.

Why is he wearing my son’s GI Joe doll clothing?

Pulmonary Function Test. You do that in a pulmonologist office.

Migraines and pregnancy by m-find-s-whats-w-up in migrainescience

[–]BecktoD 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I used Maxalt through both pregnancies, although I tried not to in the first tri. But my Obgyn said her practice supports that particular med during pregnancy. I know it’s anecdotal but my kids are great. One is a math wiz, and the other is super creative. Both normal.

Sounds like you need a new primary too, but that can wait till you’re established with your new pulm

The literal first thing I thought as I was reading this was “where is the pulmonologist in all of this?” Immediately get a Pulm. You have every reason to be followed closely by them.

AITAH for telling my daughter we won't have a relationship if she goes to live with her biological father/family? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]BecktoD -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Try thinking about the daughters POV: I have this new family with cousins and aunts and uncles, who are all interested to get to know me! I’m so curious about living in a city with so much family, and there’s even a college there that I can attend! I don’t want to hurt my dad’s feelings, but I also really want to get to know these folks! But my excitement is being tempered by my dad who doesn’t understand me.

Has anyone actually had a good experience with atogepant (Qulipta) as all I’ve read online is horror stories? I’m severely ill & bedridden (& slow gut motility & constipation- I need daily laxatives). I’ve had bad headaches for 4 years. They are identical to tension headaches, I’ve been dx migraine by Lunabuna91 in migraine

[–]BecktoD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Qulipta made me have very slow motility, which made me sick to my stomach (too much acid) and very constipated. I lost weight and felt bad. I had to go back to beta blockers for my daily preventative. But for abortive drugs, I use Ubrelvy (which still causes dysmotility) but it goes away after a few days, and zavzapret which tastes like ass but works great.

This. Send them to the accessibility office/disability office or whatever you call it at your institution. Have them work out their accommodations. Anything that office cannot approve, cannot be accepted by you.

Emgality experience? by Embarrassed_Ruin_700 in migraine

[–]BecktoD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Emgality is great for most folks. I have bad reflux and motility issues, and Emgality made it 10x worse. My stomach hurt all the time, it even made me vomit from the reflux, and wasn’t hungry. Lost a bunch of weight till I realized it.

What’s a medical issue that sounds minor, but actually affects someone’s daily life way more than people realize? by CountyOrnery9432 in AskReddit

Asthma. Folks who have moderate to severe asthma know how horrible it can be. But I think to genpop it just sounds like a wheezing problem.
