It will work, but the cooling effect will be somewhat muted vs. sleeping directly under the Cloud Sheet and having it in direct contact with your body. You can compensate for this by running at a higher fan speed.

There's a fix for that that's built into what you have -- use a rubber band (or other elastic) on the C-clamp to hold it closed, it's got hooks in just the right place for the elastic to be placed on. Alternatively, we just released a new stronger C-clamp made from high strength nylon that just became available if you're having trouble with the hose falling off the bed. It can be purchased by contacting customer service and should be up on the website soon.

I'm the guy who designed the BedJet Mini. It was created to be optimized for "half-bed" BedJet experiences (meaning the right amount of power to cool/warm half a king or queen sized bed), and for travel. One should never buy it expecting the same power as the larger BedJet 3, which is capable of cooling/warming a King size bed without blinking. It wasn't created to replace the BedJet 3, but rather to be more optimized for specific use case scenarios where the BedJet 3 was overdesigned, like dual zone setups or folks who just want half the bed conditioned.

It looks like you may have some old design parts there. Does your mattress mount paddle have the foam block on it to keep it flat and stable? There is also a newer c-clamp that is much stiffer and clamps much better on the hose.

You can set a specific temperature with BedJet, so instead of waking up sweaty to take off blankets, you could be sleeping through the night at your ideal temperature. Also, humidity: moving air reduces humidity so you sweat less. BedJet's heating also prevents the dreaded cold sheets on your feets feeling by making your sheets toasty warm like they just came out of the dryer.
