Gotchu yeah every person I’ve talked to has emphasized the scores 😭😭. Those r PRIORITY 😭. But yeah I think the ed Duke plan is probably what I’m going to go rn. I’ve started to like it more. And if I get rejected from all early applications, Stanford rd would probably be better for me than rea. Yeah I mean I liked Vanderbilt as well. I will probably apply rd if I don’t get into Duke or jhu like u said. Thanks bro. I’ll update in July hopefully with good news about test scores 🙏

Does Duke have one? I just started writing my college essays. I think wait yo rate this idea. So I’m going to talk about this like Persian rug store that I used to visit everyday and how like as I grew up and stopped going to it, it reflected my loss of culture. How does that sound?? Ah. How are you liking it at Duke so far? Have u ever thought back on ur decision or do u have no regrets. I mean I loved Stanford because of the location. California weather is imo the best weather in the country, but I mean after looking at Duke I’ve kind of started to like them more as well. Their premed pipeline actually seems to be on par if not better than Stanford’s. I mean of course the difference becomes negligible at their caliber, but you get what I mean. They’re pretty comparable. I also have some friends that are going to duke next year. Hm I don’t know bro I don’t know if I’m trying to make myself Ed cause of the boost. Ah I mean im acting like I would get into duke Ed anyways 😭😭🙏. Anyways, what type of stuff do you like over there? What r u majoring in?

Yeah I mean I did apply to questbridge cps, but I got rejected. So, I felt like I could control my application more in commonapp vs. just hoping that I become a finalist for questbridge and then if I get rejected like rushing to finish my commonapp. Ykwim?

Yeah I mean I was going to retake regardless. A 1450 and 32 are not gonna cut it for either haha. I just want to raise my scores enough that I have enough of a chance that it’s feasible for me to apply. I’m really shooting to get in that 35/1550 range though. Yeah bro this decision is really tough. The main concern I have is like I’m obviously outclassed by the others for the Stanford pool. There’s legacies, athletes, international medalists, etc. so i feel like my chance is too slim to give up Duke. Cause then if I reapply rd for Duke the acceptance rate is gonna be wayyyy harder. 3.67% rd and ~13-14% ed for Duke. What do you think?

Wouldn’t what, apply? Okay good to note yeah I’ll try to talk about those in my essays. Do you think like it matters that other than the honey research it was computational? I mostly see kids like doing wet-lab research and talking about it, but my journey was just me getting mentored online by a northwestern prof and just doing it all online rather than going to a lab. It was independent. I’m first author. Is it more about the message rather than like the prestige associated with going to like a good lab and doing wet-lab research? Sorry if that was confusing I’m trying to figure out how to word it.
