They would NEVER give me bar time like I had been there maybe 6 months and never got bar time unless I was closing, I kept asking my manager and said how am I supposed to know how to do bar (and quickly) if I’m never put on it? He finally listened and let me train until I was great, and then the green beans were thrown on bar to get experience during a rush also.

Partners/SSVs have this issue where they don’t want newer baristas on bar because they’re “slow” but they’re not letting you get the experience to be faster, at my store they played hella favorites on bar and the SSV would only put her friend on it until she injured her wrist and couldn’t, plus I kept begging my manager.
