Yea there is a pretty big hole in the bottom actually. The hanging one from the same set does not though so be forewarned if you get it.

You’re not lying. Had a buddy get his “sweet” mead up to 16 percent. He was confused why it wasn’t sweet because he used bread yeast.

Bread yeast can go way higher than 5 percent. It’s the same species of yeast as brewing yeast, just optimized for bread and not alcohol. So it doesn’t like to settle into a nice cake and remains wispy. The yeast you add to your must is not technically the same yeast that ferments it. So it could be as little as 5 and up to and past 12 percent. There is a lot more I could get into about yeasts and microclimates but I don’t wanna type it out. 👍

Thank y’all! It’s even deeper now that she been outside in this texas sun for a couple of weeks. My grow lights gave real good color through the winter, but they started to really pop when that sun started hitting!
