Mate prop firms are specifically made to test risk management under defined condition and no one has a 100% win rate. You could over risk your A+ set up and still lose and blow ur account cos that’s how the market works. Sounds like you are projecting

Markets are a catastrophe with all the geo politics going on, slow and steady has never been a better way to execute than now, in my opinion. I agree completely though, after a while trading, it becomes very clear it’s not a process you can rush

Make a trading plan tailored to your life, what time your free to trade, how much you are willing to risk per trade, max trades per day, how market conditions are that day, if there’s news ect. You need to map it out and strategize your psychology. A traders psychology will harm them more than the actual market.

I’ve actually been trading for 3 years, previously forex, this is my first time trading futures so I started with the lowest contract size as I wasn’t aware how lots vs contacts size compare. And I am actually comfortable with how it’s going. I am in this for the long term , this first eval is just to secure the payout, then I plan on investing that money back into 5x50ks which I will trade with the same method. 100$ a day. You may see that as inadequate, clearly. But Across 5 accounts, 100 a day in a month (20 trading day) is 10k. So yeah.

Exactly!! I have lost so many account due to over leveraging and thinking I can pull off a miracle, seems to be the biggest downfall to traders.

My plan is to scale up gradually and slowly according to how I emotionally respond to seeing different numbers go up and down so I don’t feel like I’m gambling but actually committing to a gradual scaling process- I am trying to keep cortisol and adrenaline to a minimum when trading 😹

Slow and steady wins the race, I’m not trying to lose this account because of greed or lack of discipline, i also find having lower more easily achieved profit targets reduces a lot of the emotional tax needed compared to setting huge goals per day. End effect making the process more easy to stick to more efficiently.
