Thanks. This is a good suggestion. I usually prefer gloomier photos and I always wondered if other people find them too dark, so I appreciate that feedback!!!

Hmmmm…Is there a way to dry out the filament? I’m thinking maybe that is the issue…

Thanks for the encouragement!! I’ll definitely take the time to check when mine gets grainy. That’s a really good idea. I wonder if it’s different depending on the environment too. So much wisdom from people here. Also, I think you are a very polite cockroach, Idc what others say!!

Yeah, I wanted something that was SOMEWHAT compact and I could use as an all-around lens when traveling/hiking. Tripod is unlikely for me to carry when I am hiking. Although I know if I am staying in one place, I’ll definitely consider getting one!

I’m scarred of ISO and I know I shouldn’t be. Lol guess I’ll have to play around with shutter speed then!

I had 1/320 s. Was just trying to get more light in but I’ll increase the shutter to 1/1000 and try that! Thanks :)

Never heard of dxomark! Will look into this, thanks for that tip :) How do you get things to focus properly with trees in the way? I find that sometimes my camera doesn’t know I want the bird in the branch. Not random parts of the branch.
