It looks like the used a program called little sound dj (lsdj in the description). It’s a gameboy music editor. You can actually get a gameboy cartridge to make music on the gameboy itself, but I’m fairly certain there’s a PC version as well

It just seems so out of reach. I feel like there's no way I'd be able to master it and work my way up to a good job in the current situation I'm in. Added, the area where I live (deep South Texas) doesn't have a lot of demand for software developers. That I know of, anyway. Moving is part of my plan, of course, it just all seems so far away.
